I feel like I read on the forums in the past few weeks or so that the developers reworked the resist system for the beta server so having over 255 resists does nothing in order to be more in alignment with classic resists. This is something that would be worked into the blue/red servers in some patch in the future.

I can't find this thread or information on this anymore, and I'm wondering if I actually read this or made this up in my head. Can someone link me to this thread?

I could have sworn that the devs posted something that resists were changed for the next Velious beta server patch?

I don't know about a post, but AG was on beta the other day with a GM in ToV and he did mention the 255 cap being in place.

Yea we tested a bunch of dragons and it definitely seems to be more in line with what I remember.

They just need to make the UI show the cap, right now it still goes over 255.

Correct. The beta server should be acting correctly in regards to the values, but the UI (client) needs a special patch to show it.

So eventually will our resists not show a number above 255 in the client, or will we always go above 255 but just not have any effect after the magic number 255 is hit?

See Thott's first screenshot from his post about bard best of the best. His Cold resist shows as 262. It is also a Velious style UI. Also I was under the impression all the BotB competitions were pre-Luclin.

It should simply be 255 effective cap but it shows beyond 255. Atleast that's what I believe based off that screenshot

There was a BotB on my server in the Bazaar arena on live. Some warrior named Final won.

Each of the botb for each server were first. Once they were all done is when they did the over all botb iirc. I think enchanter, bard and maybe one other happened during Velious. So it was all pushed towards the end of Velious. I could be wrong, I had all this written down but lost it when I went on deployment.

Should do a BOTB between blue/red on beta server just like on live. Make a new title for the winners.
