Some GM comments w/r/t sexual harassment were a bit worrying, although I'm aware a lot of it was said in jest which, by the way, doesn't make it okay. Was put off by comments like, "There's nothing wrong with telling a female on P99 that she's attractive, or hot, or whatever you wanna say," and attempting to draw a line between different degrees of cat-calling.
I mean, in real life doing this is dumb and degrading to women. Just because some women enjoy it doesn't mean it should be an acceptable thing to do. Then he goes on to say, "When a girl tells you 'no' in real life, like maybe you try once or twice more, but then you gotta back off."
Look, I'm not trying to stir shit up here, and I do appreciate that these things are even being addressed, but no means no. Let's just leave it at that.

What world do you live in? Men shouldn't tell women that they find them attractive? If you're not trying to stir something up I really feel bad for you.

Nothing against benign compliments and such, just when it crosses the line into cat-call territory or lewd comments which, just like in the real world, I happen to see a lot of on P99.

I'm guessing your literacy is pretty insubstantial, but I can help you. Switch two of those words into different words with the same meaning and suddenly a woman swoons if you have the right pair good looking eyes.

If you're greeting a woman (or man) with 'hey sexy' and they fall for it, they're probably insecure and not a good match anyways.
Every time some dude hits on me, I generally take it as a compliment, not as an invitation to their pants right off the bat. If they continue talking about how nice my eyes are or something like that after, I'd be a little creeped out.
Same goes with women, really - I do not have interest in women who hit on me, most likely those that do, do not want anything other than money and attention - a serious relationship commitment is not something I would want with them.
My current partner was a friend of a friend and we've found out we had so much in common through talking about common interests - not by being hit on initially. Those that did hit on me were great for a one night stand, beyond that? Probably not.

I listened to the rest of Sirken's stream linked earlier, it gets painfully bad towards the end. Knix chimes in with the question, "What is a male feminist?" That question can't really be as fatuous as it sounds, can it? What else would a male feminist be other than a feminist that is male?
Also, throwing around the word "tranny" is pretty disgraceful. "Tranny" is a word that was invented by the pornography industry in order to market transgendered people to their audience. It's ridiculous to conflate the two - just because someone is transgendered doesn't mean they are involved in pornography or asking to be sexualized. Referring to everyone who happens to be trans as "trannies" is a form of objectification at its core. Again, just because some transgendered people might be okay with it doesn't mean it should be acceptable.

I find it increasingly hard to relate to other transpeople these days. It's horrible, really, and there's one big thing (not a penis) that I have realized.
My biggest pet peeve is when someone complains about women's rights and social commentary when they themselves are fetishistic about their gender. I've seen some non-passable CDs that feel they're being untreated unfairly and complain about transgender rights when in reality they are causing the issues to begin with. 'Trap' culture is okay, if talked about jokingly, but there's some motherfuckers that actually think it's acceptable to do that sort of thing. That gets us in trouble more than anything else. Well, that, and...
The worst thing that can possibly happen is some non-attractive dude in a dress become the poster child for the transgender movement. And guess what; that's happening in the world, and it's disgusting.

Isn't the entire point of the trans movement about it being bad to judge someone based upon their outward appearance?

Yeah, I kind of have to agree with kaga here, even though I'm not transgender so I can't really speak with much authority on what the trans movement is or should be about. To me it seems like it's more about not equating genitalia with gender, so really a transgendered person doesn't necessarily have to look like anything. The attractive "girl" next door could very well identify as male despite their appearances, and if they decide they want to be more feminine than masculine and be trans at the same time, I can't really think of a legitimate reason as to why that's not okay.
I get the feeling there's a hugely misconceived notion that trans people are pretty much either a guy that chooses to be and therefore look like a girl, or vice versa. This is a very narrow view of transgenderism which I can easily dispell from personal experiences, and I have probably only known a few people that readily identified as trans. However, on kaga's point, or rather question, that the trans movement is about being non-judgmental towards people's appearances, I'd say that this is just a staple of being socially well-adjusted and a decent human being in general.

I don't get why people who can completely pas as their gender bitch when others aren't so great at it.
There's a lot of mislabling going on here. And I've seen a lot of people who don't pass, act and behave way more femininely then i've seen certain 'pornstar' grade trans people.
So, wtf, whatever, I don't know how this devolved into trans from religion. People just need to pull the fucking sticks out their asses.
90% of normal people could give a shit what I look like, and treat me as I wish to be treated. It's that 10% that do really annoy me. And it's not really any fucking failing on my part.
