If it turns out the person that he threatened was black then it will do two things, it will be evidence that he may in fact have racist tendencies and it would also prove that the media is steering away from making a national issue when something that happens to everyone, every day, happens to someone of color.

On the other hand if it turns out that the person he threatened was white then it will be more evidence that GZ's violent tendencies are not racially motivated and the media only cares about race when someone is black so they can paint aggressors/criminals as racists on top of the actions already committed.

You are entitled to that belief, in my view you are ignoring the evidence that it was rainy out during the early evening, Trayvon was wearing a hoodie and GZ saw him from inside of his car. I still think you are concentrating on a small part of a bigger problem. Look at what I'm responding to right here, replace 'another black' with 'another poor person' and replace 'racism' with 'classism' and you're addressing the source of the problem.

I agree, though I would also make an effort to remove those in higher positions of power that are the real source of the corruption, not to mention the need to raise the bar on the hiring process. Law enforcement is supposed to lead by example.

Watch the voyager reviews. She frequently contradicts herself. Never puts the crew ahead of her interests and even the end was her doing something incredibly stupid and foolhardy to fix what she considers wrong...oh and the genocide. And the whole reset buttons in the series. The misuse of the marquis and the raping of the borg make that series perdy awful.

I thought she did a good job, the issue is that you have to compare her to Kirk, Picard and Sisko, the greats. Even bumbling Archer ended up being the driving force behind the federation.
On the flip side though she did save the galaxy from the onslaught of species 8472, as well as nutering the Borg (though she did cheat with time travel).

To me she's the last great of the five simply based on having an overall smaller influence on the quadrant/federation. That doesn't mean she was "bad" but that's not going to stop me from trashing the way they wrote her for the bulk of the series.

In one episode, Mirror Mirror, the crew members are confronted by their evil, mirror counterparts in a parallel universe and discover that the parallel Starship is a hotbed of sexual activity, with no moral code.

He goes from planet to planet, having trysts with an assortment of nubile women, but never forms any real attachments. By the next episode, the last female partner is forgotten. Despite this apparent promiscuity, Kirk's sexuality is anything but clear. His relationships are certainly never based on his own wants or desires. If he seduces a woman, it's usually in order to escape danger on behalf of his crew, or else he's overtaken by some alien power that makes him behave like a sex fiend. (e.g., a woman's tears contain a love potion that causes Kirk to become amorous).

There's a pervasive message that women are toxic. In an episode called Cat's Paw, there is an evil sorceress who separates the crew from each other and from the starship. The perpetually indignant Dr. McCoy cautions Kirk, "Don't let her touch your wand Jim, or you'll lose all your power! On the very rare occasions where Kirk seems to find love, his partners quickly die off. After one of his loves has croaked, Kirk admonishes Spock "Love, you're better off without it."
This is the longest description of "Kirk is a Casanova" I've ever seen written.
The one longstanding attachment Kirk has is to Mr. Spock. In fact, their bond is so intense that there's an abundance of gay porn written about the two. (Oddly enough, it's frequently written by heterosexual women.)
