Empire, the only guild filled with your best pals and a bunch of top notch, pristine looking vaginas and/or penises, is now recruiting.

We are the currently the reigning top guild on the Project and have been for over the past year, after completely destroying our competition. While we are currently settled into casual pixel farm mode, we still welcome all challengers and encourage server growth.

If pixel farming doesn’t tingle your private areas, the one thing we can promise you in this larger guild setting that no other guild can is a sense of order. Also, it's a great place to sculpt your guns naked in front of a mirror.

Basic requirements include:

Level 56+ for high priority classes.
Level 60 for medium and low priority classes.
Ability to use TeamSpeak (mic preferred) without being a total dick
Somewhat regular playtime (don't need to be a neckbeard, but consistency is encouraged)
Willingness to learn content (PvE and PvP) and to retain that information forever

Not required but preferred/enjoyed:

Level 60
Keys to all dungeons and portals
Neckbeard, jobless virgin
Willingless to add your info and respond to the batphone

Our senate of officers will discuss your application thoroughly before rendering a decision to take you on as a Rookie. If you're helpful, adept, and a generally nice player, you have a strong chance of getting an invite. If you're unaware, not very good at the game, and have no inclination to learn how to change that, you're more than likely not going to get an invite.

We are not particularly elitist players, but our core knows the game and knows it well, so we expect you to fall in that same category with time, or at least have the inclination to learn the game as we know it.

We are a loot council. We have a modified EQDKP system based on raid attendance (RA) and several officers that are level-headed and realistic about the participation made by each and every member. In Velious, loot drops in large quantities, and although we try to be as fair as is practical concerning RA, we also distribute in a way that best helps the guild progress and grow, i.e. building up tanks, increasing cleric mana pools, maintaining our exceptional core of PvPers, etc.

After applying, you can send tells in game to a member or officer as a gentle reminder that you've applied, but do not spam us. Please use common sense. We're all adults in this guild, and we expect you to act like one as well. Sending us tells is fine, just don't be crazy about it.

I whine about 1/10th as much as Lite and crew. The forum posts easily account for that. Being called someone who complaints by a group of people who post on average 30 times whining and moaning like Wario is hardly an insult. I log in and fight any and everyone who comes in range with occasional alliances against Azrael. I band with Holo to fight Azrael whenever I can, I hover around pvp zones, I've raided twice since May. I charge a full Azrael raid get a YT and survive. I attack full groups and I do it self buffed with mediocre gear and no Fungi/Windstriker. I don't even win half the time. I play to pvp. I am the most red person on the server currently.

With guilds like Holocaust, Blaze, and Eternal Light starting to field 15+ members regularly for raids and each guild continuing recruitment, it is only a short matter of time until there will be competition over the end game raid mobs. I am proposing the following things to keep the atmosphere away from becoming anything similar to what it was with Nihilum running the show. My aim is to keep the raid scene relatively casual, civil, and fun. I'd like this to be an open brainstorm session, and I'd like people to refrain from shitting this thread up and perpetuating the issues that this server currently has.

- Agreements not to over-recruit. Every single raid mob in the game can be killed with 4 or fewer groups. When your guild begins exceeding say 30 people at each raid, stop recruiting entirely. Numbers will naturally go down over time, and if they don't, I'm willing to bet that there is always a person or two in every guild that deserves to be kicked out. Nothing was worse than before where, at times, the only competition between Azrael and Nihilum was who could recruit more new players and sustain those numbers week after week. In the long run, this should lead to new guilds forming and even more chaos when several guilds are competing for the same mob(s), while lowering the chance that one single guild will monopolize content.

- Spread raid mob timers far apart to more reasonable times. This one is mostly directed at Azrael, considering they have all the important raid mobs on lockdown right now. Regardless of how you guys feel, a majority of the server does not want to wake up before noon on a Sunday. My idea would be to spread Venril Sathir, Phara Dar, Severilous, Innoruuk, and Cazic-Thule to different days entirely, and try to keep them in a more primetime slot. These are the only mobs that most of the raid scene cares about, and keeping them all on one day only promotes a winner-take-all environment that existed with Nihilum around. I think we all know that whoever won that Venril Sathir fight on repop day took every single raid mob thereafter 19 out of 20 times. When one side loses, many people often get demoralized and log off for the day, and then they have to wait 6 more days until they get another shot at any of the mobs they care to fight over. I believe that having the important raid mobs several different days of the week will keep more people logging in even if they lost the previous fight. It will create far more opportunities for mass PvP, thus lowering the odds that one guild will keep everything on lockdown.

- Keep it civil both in-game and on the forums. This will not only benefit the raid scene, but server population in general. Controlling your members who want to spam /ooc, shit up the forums, grief people on twinks, etc. will keep more newbies interested in leveling up to join us at the endgame. For instance, after mass pvp over a raid mob happens, the winning guild should kill the NPC, then offer to rez the opposing side's clerics and allow them to clear out. People should be cordial and not constantly give the community insight into whatever personality/social disorder they're currently suffering. Following this philosophy will allow us to police the server ourselves instead of relying on petitionquest every single day. If a guild foregoes this idea and decides that they'd rather act like pieces of shit, then the rest of us can make a concentrated effort to treat them like pieces of shit.

-repeatedly said how much you dislike the direction of the guild
-complained about loot decisions for people who often aren't even mad with no one to agree with you except your 3 man crew of friends
-claim that you're going to leave the guild as soon as someone makes a third guild
-deguild while calling everyone faggots because of personal drama with slime blood prince kraid
etc.

Not that anyone cares the reasons I left were because there was not enough general PVP to suit my needs holo was friendly with everyone but azrael and secondly because my friends left and I go where they go. Nothing against Holocaust or their leadership I had a blast and I was treated fair regarding loot. And Doors no need to insult me mate, I earned my gear by going to almost every raid and by being active and helpful during the week. It was a good run, thanks again guys and best of luck

However I don't see the issue with awarding an item to someone whose ready to do the turn in at that very moment vs someone who doesn't have the parts and will have it just rot in the bank. That has been a foundation of sky raiding since the beginning of time.

Exed himself was the person who said I should take the first bow since my turn in was gtg. Situation reversed, even in my great lust for pixels would I not allow an item to rot in bank waiting for me, when someone else could create the finished masterpiece.

If saying hey lets go raid Dojorn makes the raid a personalized event for someone, then i'll make sure that on Sunday I say, hey lets go kill Phara Dar. Then grats myself on the Crown.

As far as Ragnaros and that other rogue i dont really know or see often... just make sure to remember how many dragons Azrael killed yesterday. All that big loot will soon be yours.
