So let me get this straight:

Home Depot just had a huge security breach of Credit Card data, over 2,200 stores affecting millions of consumers, possibly from Russia. They never tracked down who was responsible for the Target data breach.

Yet, they will go after and spend every resource to find out who leaked photos of a bunch of 7's?

This is why Russia is better.

Pretty sure this is how my account got pwned a few weeks back, it was only 49.95 but so annoying to deal with.

you nerds need to start using actual cash and save the credit cards for only places that won't take cash (ie: Amazon)

Exactly. If I get hacked my credit union eats the cost, so I have zero incentive to switch to cash. Granted this means they get proactive and send me a new card whenever something like this happens, but that's a small inconvenience vs. giving up credit entirely.

Plus I just really hate change: I actually throw pennies away when I get them ... worthless crap.

Get real. There's nothing in anybody's life that's happening in the 2-3 seconds more it takes to use cash.

No one else pays in gold like me? The end of civilization is coming and gold bars and guns will keep me safe.

How much basement dwelling does a person need to do to think it's safer to carry around a wad of cash than it is to use a debit card?

Exactly: without credit cards I can't see a nice pie chart of my spending in Mint. Won't someone please think of the pie charts!?!

So its impossible to keep track of spending unless its on a credit card?

That's all backwards for me - if I put it on a card I consider it paid for without thinking that my balance has gone down...dangerous in a shopping mall :p

People still carry cash on them? What? People scream 2014 for everything now and days to try and validate ridiculous change, but apparently some of you still live in the stone age when it comes to how you complete transactions?
