Literally sat on trainer hill buffing/healing people at zone ent saying (something along the lines of) lfg 10 druid every few minutes
Almost made my goal of 16 hours of not being able to find a group. I only got up from my seat twice for a couple of minutes each to grab a little food.
Pretty amazing really. I think that it's an achievement of some sort =).
During this time, I met a lot of people, helped a lot of people, and found a lot of people groups that wouldn't take me ; p.
Subtract 30 minutes from time. At the very, very beginning, when I first logged in, I did get into a group, but I left it almost immediately when they invited another druid and needed a better healer. I left to make room for a cleric and figured I could just find another group that needed me ; ). Boy was I wrong, lmao.

Moral of the story? Don't play a Druid unless you intend to solo.

I know the game isn't EQ, but when I was lvling as a dragoon in FFXI, I was online for probably 12hours a day, and took about a week till I finally just got a static with LS mates and never had an issue again XD.

You could have made 4-5 levels soloing in that time.

did 72 hours afk/online through 3 days on my wizard in the 50s as lfg, not a single group offer. However I did get roughly 236 messages asking for a teleport

I don't think I've ever spent more than 30 minutes looking for a group on my bard when I've actually tried to find a group.
I usually put them together or contact guildies/friends; this is the best way to form groups.
Also, when leveling 50-60, I would just run to the zones that I would probably end up grouping in and wait at the entrance indicating I was available for group in OOC every 10-15 minutes or so.

You have to group to teleport though. So that's kind of like 236 group offers.

Yeah man never rely on other people. Start your own groups, if you see a melee lfg boom , duo, then just start adding randoms. Low level content is easy. I was wondering around upper guk soloing. Saw a druid say lfg, boom got him next thing we know we are a full group camping nameds for hours.

/who 10 15 all
and start sending tells everyone online between those levels ifthey want togroup
i promise youll get a handful of people instantly
also, use your brain. At level 10 theres like 2 or 3 spots a group will be at in crushbone. either the wall or bridge near slavers, or inside castle. thats not many spots, there was prolly no one even grouping alot of that time.

Yeah because people are VERY serious about getting only clerics to heal in crushbone.
I play an enchanter and am LFG for over 12 hours every single day. Most of the times I never find a group. But when I am about to log, often someone finally tells me. :/

You could solo some mobs in Steamfont as an alternative (near the mino cave), just putting it out there :p

There are many reasons why people don't go looking for random people to group with. Mostly because they want all guild groups, not at your level as much, but still a possibility. That's why guilds like KWSK existed, to diminish the struggle and necessity of /who all lfg.
We also live in a world of minimalists. If i can do HS south with a cleric and ench why would i want to split loot with 4 additional people or exp for that matter.
I'd say look for a baby guild and progress to a raiding one when you hit late 40s.
The only thing worse than not being able to find a group, is finding one where the leader is a window-licker and just invites whoever is standing around, until the group consists of two paladins, two clerics, and two bards. (Not far off from actual groups I've had in KC). Then once the group is full, the proper classes show up about 5-10 minutes later and end up sitting there LFG. Congratulations, now everyone is either getting shit XP or no XP.
PSA: If you are building a group, composition matters. I'd rather go out and get a job than be a part of your disgusting hodgepodge.
