Its hard to justify blaming an entire guild for the actions of one member. I've used Dial a Port for months and have had that happen to me. People with a history of *****rdly tips usually get treated accordingly.

I've never had any issues with Dial a Port, I've made a few friends in that guild which has helped me immensely in the long run get around faster.

I always run to a druid ring before I try to contact a member. If they're in the same zone I run to them.
Fair prices and I have always gotten my port within a respectable amount of time.

At times i get queue's that run ten people long. Everyone going to different locations! Picking up #4 and #7 to take to DL, then to commons to pick up 2 & 3 and drop off then to commons and picking up more there. A few more tells come in asking for a lift.

I don't tell them 'no'. In stead I'll say that ill be there as soon as i am able and likely a few minutes.

In the midst of this craziness, yeah i might not want to make a bunch of other people wait while i run for five or fifteen minutes to pick up someone who could easily meet me halfway or even at a ring. In fact, you might be waiting a while as i port the people who are right in front of me pushing platinum down my throat.

I get some wild request that i dont turn down when I am not busy. CR's. Pickups in Lfey/ MM. Binding in Freeport. Halas/Qeynos runs. Impromptu transfers and ports of one players multiple characters. Lots of wierd requests come up. I run to KC all the time even though ive been killed by the Ravishing Drolvargs at times. I underestand I run a lot faster and can cover the distance but understand the risks we take as well. If i get killed on route the we're both skrewed waiting.


Best one yet was the high level bard who wanted me to grab his level one Iksar alt, in cablilis, and help get him Jboots.

You can only do kunark evacs (skyfire, EJ) from kunark dungeons. KC and droga are used most often, from DL and OT respectively

It varies all the time.

In this case Trendy was also on a CR (which I'm sure he failed to mention to the porter).

"It's a pain" isn't the response he should of gotten. More along the lines of, "Usually people will take a port the second a wizard/druid drops into KC when I'm on the way to you". For the month that I ported people around, I would let people know this on KC pickups.

I'm not in the guild, but I do port generally every single person who asks. I don't even require payment; I'm happy to possibly gain a friend for the long haul. But at least show me the decency to answer me after I'm going out of my way to help you. Nothing pisses me off more than when I show up, the guy is already leaving and says 'sorry got one'. I usually give 40pp for a port, but only if the porter doesn't have to leave the rings to do it. If they run to me for some reason, im giving between 50-70pp for the port. I also have no more than 500pp on me at any given time. When I have the ability to gain more consistent money, I will increase my tips accordingly.
