TMO raids Velious twice a week and gives DKP for it.
IB raids sometimes as well.

Its the shit casual guilds like BDA and Taken who are delaying Velious. You'd think a guild that kills one mob a month in a rotation would have time to help fix the server.

I know it's an unpopular opinion but they really should lock down live for a month to force people to beta test. Or offer some sort of compensation for logging ours on velious beta.

It worked in Kunark when they locked the server and made people test kunark.

Maybe TMO should voluntarily suspend raiding on blue and put all that time/effort in to beta testing. I know it would be hard to give up loot for your 3rd/4th alts, but do it for the good of the server!

Why? TMO raids 1-2 days a week and we raid velious 1-2 days a week.

Forcing the server to test content is like a bitter pill. It may taste horrid going down but if it cures your illness then its worth it.

90% of the players not in TMO/IB are fucking horrible at this game and will never attempt to do anything outside there small comfort zone. This is why you see harder zones deserted often and KC packed with idiots.

Force them over to velious or they will never go.

They do need to force people onto Velious Beta. At this rate there's no way it will be out this year. Anyone who lightly follow game development can see this.

We've put in some pretty obvious raid bugs. Resist rates being absolutely wtf (NPC spells vs players) makes most of that content ridiculously difficult. Going to have to start meleeing through walls for certain indoor dragons :P

Allow people to voluntarily take their real toons to beta server at current level without beta buff - and keep the xp and loot they earn by reverse copying that toon to live blue when velious does launch.

I'd go hunt/xp and assist on raids in a heartbeat. Still being new to p99 though, I have a lot of catching up to do still in kunark. The hours spent beta testing for me are better spent legitimately leveling and progressing.

Not all of us have mains at 60 - much less multiple level 60s with raid gear on them all.

I'm looking forward to velious. It was my favorite expansion.

Beyond that, come velious we will finally get the long overdue changes to hybrid xp penalties. Thankfully as a bard I'm needed for my role in the group - it just sucks to know I'm robbing everyone else. It's very easy to see the impact. In KC over the weekend we replaced a warrior and human monk with a sk troll and ranger. Our kill rate stayed consistent but the xp flow dropped like a rock.

I feel bad for rangers in particular. On more than one occasion from inside a group I watched the whole group veto inviting a lfg ranger for not wanting to absorb further penalties shared.

If velious is really around the corner they should just go ahead and change this prior to velious launch.

Seriously. If wager they'd get most of the server playing there bugs and all. The problem with beta for non-end game people who don't already have everything is that work done for beta time is otherwise lost. I bet you'd get tons of raiders opting to do this as well. Lots of velious raid stuff to play with for keeps and with the raid scene more spread out it would allow people to actually get to do some of the older content that is presently contested.

Even at 51 I'd take the copy over for keeps deal. I'd like to hunt in velks and I'm sure there'd be some pickup kael arena fun to be had.

Better yet, just launch velious live now and iron out the bugs as you find them with a live server. I'm positive the population here would be understanding that there are going to be big problems needing to be fixed.

only problem there Troxx is that if the bugs are significant enough that people are losing items/corpses/xp etc on a live server, the admins have even more on their plate trying to satisfy every person who is unhappy whilst trying to iron out the bugs.

This brings up a good point. You guys remember that stress test Rogean did where like 7 of the big guilds on the server all got together and clusterfucked around all over ToV? That was actually a shitload of fun and I felt like everyone was getting along real nicely. I got to shoot the shit with a few dudes who I'd ordinarily be too busy trying to run past to get to a raid target to bother chit chatting, had some laughs, Phear was cracking me up in ooc, it was nice. It was good to have an excuse to put aside all of the bullshit and do the cooperative spirit thing for a while. Let's do that again sometime. Joint guild raid to see what kind of numbers it'll ultimately take to drop AoW, something.

Other than super secret strat testing stuff people do on downtime I"m sure anyone could come to our raids to test stuff.
