Proposed Raid changes = 3rd party software FTE's

I've been reading the proposed Raid changes to FTE.

I understand a lot of the complaints are about the Jav spamming marcos/gaming keyboards/mice etc. The proposed solution is to have a log in race; as has already been pointed out guilds with more active people to log in and with account exemptions will come out ahead in the log in race

This lead to the talk of randomizing spawn locations along pathing nodes. All this is going to accomplish is to give the advantage to guilds using 'third party software' and a Bard to 'track' the raid target first. (this would be an excellent way for the DEV's to catch the cheaters red handed however)

FTE Jav spamming may give the most opportunity on FFA mobs and be the most fair as most people will have access to a gaming keyboard or mouse etc. Regardless, Jav spamming is not fun.

Currently there are rarely more than 2 mobs in window at a time that are effected by this, and with it still being illegal to log in more than 2 people at a spawn that means at most you need 4 pullers ready to log in, and really you only need 1 per spawn if that person doesn't screw up.

You're saying that your guild can't keep 2-4 pullers ready to go? The IP exemption worries are overblown imo, and meant to distract from the idiocy this rule is trying to prevent.

Have fun trying to protect the use of autofire by inventing scenarios though. I don't think IB needs autofire to compete. Hopefully the people who call the shots there agree with me, because ffs I'm sick of fte spam.

History lesson for those not knowing why this change is being proposed.

TMO was destroying IB in VP weekly taking 4 to 5 of the VP dragons each week.

IB claims autofire is being used for 2 weeks which it wasn't TMO just simply had more people they could dedicate to spamming and rotate them in and out.

IB all of a sudden starts getting about half the FTE's in VP for 2 weeks sometimes more, but they lose some of the dragons due to incompetence. Checking logs on the encounters results in seeing the Dragons are getting aggroed faster than they can humanly be engaged on their FTE's. It becomes obvious to anyone that IB wrongly suspecting one guild was using autofire started using autofire because they were getting beat so badly on these weekly spawns.

Jav spamming is a pain in the butt system when everyone is being up front and playing by the rules. Yes it is hard on the people that go about it and do it honestly because they are spamming buttons for some dragons 10 to 12 hours. With the recent development of IB swapping to autofire though just to compete because they don't have the number of pullers TMO does to put in the time on the spawns. It simply means some people are working their fingers to death while others are exploiting the system.

It doesn't take an expert to see which guild is exploiting the system either. TMO has said "Hey lets move to a system that removes the doubt of this being used". IB's response is to fight that tooth and nail and keep the jav spamming in. They know they are exploiting in a way that is hard to detect by the GMs and they still aren't killing as much as TMO weekly doing it. So they don't want to lose the one exploit they is making them slightly competitive right now.
