Call me crazy, but I find it extremely hypocritical that its not ok for someone to 2 box a couple of characters that they are legitimately playing and trying to level up, but somehow its totally cool to MQ epics to level 1 toons while other legit characters are trying to do their epics. On top of that watch level 30 toons ding 5 times in a single pull by a bard who AE pulls the entire zone. PLin existed in classic, but was not nearly as prevalent or crazy as I've seen here. I just don't understand how this is ok, but how dare you look in 2 accounts from the same PC. And no I haven't been banned from boxing, I'm just pointing out that you think somehow it makes the server more legit by not letting people 2-box, but its totally cool to perma camp MQ epics and for a bard to PL a level 1 epic cleric to 60 in a couple days. And I'm sure none of this PLin has anything to do with RM transaction that you guys aren't catching. I'm curious if you even track the IPs these PLed accounts are logging in from and if they change once the account is leveled in a few days. This post may get me banned for bring up bad points on the server, but its pretty frustrating to watch all this go on in such a way while trying to legitimately level up a toon that started on this server a few weeks ago. I really don't remember bards being so incredibly powerful for PL on Liver servers, but maybe we just didn't have any doing it on my server or maybe they had the courtesy not to pull every mob in a zone when people are trying to xp. If you really wanted the server to be hardcore or legit or whatever the goal was you had by not allowing 2 boxing you would do something to combat MQing entire epics,allowing people to PL a class to max in a few days, and do something about bards taking entire zones to themselves. Just sayin.

Its a rant(what do you expect proofreading?), but I think I have valid points. MQable level 1 epics and the amount of PLing going on especially by bards who pulling virtually an entire zone wasn't going on in classic. I don't see how this isn't worse than 2 boxing. I would have figured the reason for not allowing to boxing was to minimize PLing.

Although, I wouldn't be surprised if there are some bards and druids PLing for real money. That would just be insane hard (if not impossible) to catch, though.

Permitting 2 boxing doesn't mean permitting MQ use, which is the only way people can box more than a few toons.

Please people have been thinking out level 1 characters since the first day they were able to get the drops on live. Classic as anything. I guess you could argue for epics being capped at 46, but whatever. If a bard is clearing a whole zone of mobs, which does happen, I'm pretty sure the staff has stated that pulling a couple mobs out of their pack will not be considered kill stealing. Can't claim an entire zone as a camp.
Plus, most bards are actually really cool about it and will let you join up and soak up that beautiful kiting XP. You may have to ask though.
And no. No 2 boxing ever ever ever please. Sony allowed this and keycloning programs on Vanguard for some god awful reason, and it was the worst. Turned a group centric game into a single player game real quick.

You can't please everybody. If it wasn't 1 rule; it would be another that would make some unhappy or rant about. It's also probably safe to say that MOST of us have all leveled up more times than we can remember thru out all of the years; so it's safe to say some people will try to get around killing more time doing it again... and again.

I totally get what the OP is stating here. What's the difference though if:

Player A gets PL'ed to 50+ in 3 weeks; then raids faithfully for planar gear & more?

Player B plays legit to get to level 50+ after several months of casually logging in. Then gets raid, dragon & epic loot handed to them (Alt of an alt of an alt?)

Player C: casual player logs in when they can & legitimately levels up to get to 50+.
Cornered into re-rolling due to the 50+ scene & MQ sales festival.

Player D gets banned for RMT

Besides Player D who should get his nuts steam-rollered for being evil ... where do you fit in?

So you believe its hypocritical to deny 2 box while allowing MQs and bard PLs?

1. How are these things even related, conceptually; outside of the fact that you want special treatment because youre new and deem yourself "legitimate." Therefore you should have better chances at getting your epic; and that its not fair people at low levels have what you don't, or are leveling faster.

2. Do you realize what would happen if people were allowed to 2-box here? Venril sathir could probably be killed by 2-3 persons. Any decent cash loot camp would be solo'd 24-3. 5-10 people could down any more any game.

I wasn't asking for any special treatment unless you are replying to another person. Special treatment could actually = the PL or AE groups that OP mentions though....

OP's rant was from his own perspective & all I did was echo that there's truth in some of the rant. My first sentence was "You can't please everybody", & the most of the rest was asking the readers what is the difference between any of the examples I wrote & the OPs example.

First you should level a bard. Then using that bard, Plvl an army of alts with your friends.

I did it, and now I have 6 level 60s and 5 more 55+ toons. The reason this game is so awesome is exactly because you CAN twink level 1 characters with the best gear. And because you CAN powerlevel them to the maximum level in a matter of a few weeks.
