Weak FoB ganking scheme - common?

First night on the server. Was looking for a group in FoB. Some level 7 monk tells me he has a group for level 3-6 people. Okay. Insane group bonus. Then he gives a loc and starts telling me to come there. I didn't have a map up and I'm no /loc guru, but the coordinates seemed to be in the middle of nowhere. So I just declined. The guy kept pleading for me to come get great exp. Nope. All night leveling I saw him shouting to get people out there. Seems a few dumbasses actually went.

This is like the EQ equivalent of a windowless white van with CANDY written on it.

I didn't see him do anything. Was all suspicious tells and then between that and him fighting with people he either killed or tried to kill in /shout, I did the math. My detective work tells me it was a group of twinks behind a hill or something, jumping people who got lured out.

Why would I quit? The server seems to have two types of people. Decent folks looking to help you out because they want a community and actual real, competitive PvP... And pussy sociopaths who can't and won't fight on fair terms, because they're incapable of coping with an elf sim just like reality.

I have nothing to fear from either group :)

I got two other TMO to come play red with me last night, 3 of them were us. There was another trio who we were having some skirmishes with, was actually kind of fun. The downside I found was since none of us could really burst DPS when people got low it was just a race to the guards.
