I've been playing Everquest for about 8 months, I love this game. I love the grouping and interaction between players and the fun of running from trains or having to get your corpse in HHK but being bound in EC tunnel(gawd).

I was in Knights Who Say Ni, I was with them for ohh about 6 months. I attended a few raids and was a pretty active member overall. I helped when I could and rezz'd and buffed lower members. I thought the guild overall favored me.

I was wrong. I was kicked! What? why? Why didnt even anyone speak with me? I asked and they responded with it was a decision by the leader! Again why?

They responded well, your alt was reported a few times KS'ing in HHK.

We all have issues but honestly a boot from a guild over a few people reporting that I KS'd? I would think the good outweighs the bad by a long run.

My alts an enchanter... how badly could I have KS'd to get that kind of rep?

Now I will admit, ive had my scuffles...i'm not perfect, but they are eventually worked out and dealt with accordingly.

This is everquest anyway, scuffles and issues are to occur!

So I asked why hasn't anyone asked me for my side of things? This all happened like 2x months ago and they are just now getting to it? I mean..come on officers & leaders... why wouldn't you have come to me earlier and asked. Hey smite, what happened bro?

I was a bit irritated but you know, life goes on and this is again..just a game.

Officers & leaders. You guys are a okay bunch, I would suggest working on your communication skills and interrogating the issues before just booting people because we all know people /report and pm over the most Minot problems.

I may not be the most popular or active member but you lost a member who was a helper, friendly, group advocate & organizer!

Knights Who Say Ni is a guild that has worked hard to keep themselves clean. I levelled with Miyamatomatyatoayodom's enchanter Computer for a really long time- he's a really good guy and I'm not at all surprised to find that he will carefully examine the evidence when someone in his guild is found to be less than what he expects of his members and drop them the fuck out with no hesitation. One of the guild's clerics grouped with several of my guildies and me in HS one time, did a terrible job afk-healing, got pissy with us when we asked him to do better, then trained us. We went to Computer with it and he was extremely careful about getting everyone's version of the story, had us email him screenshots, left no stone unturned- then as far as I know he booted that piece of shit without mercy. I can assure you, from my experience, if you got removed from the guild, your case was carefully reviewed and you had it coming.

As to the rest of your post, forgive me for being a little harsh here, but I'm a little pissed that you would try to put this on us. Not "patient?" We were very patient with you. We endured your badness for a great deal of time, ate deaths and played with everything we could muster to make up for the fact that we essentially had 1/3 of a cleric in our group. But we dealt with it because you were a Knight and Computer was our homeboy and because we didn't want to be dicks. We discussed, at great lengths, the fact that you were doing a really insufficient job healing us. We offered suggestions, which you took for a while, but eventually you acted like a prick and made snarky comments and tried to blame us- people who group in that zone every day with minimal problems- and we started to get frustrated. So someone said if you're not going to do your job, maybe we'll just boot you. It was hardly a sudden development. We had been trying to gently guide you in the very difficult art of looking at your screen, seeing that peoples' health was dropping, and casting a heal spell for hours.

Like I said; Computer isn't exactly haphazard about this stuff. The fact that he didn't guildremove you immediately for training my group proves it. He must have given you the benefit of the doubt there, decided it was an accident that looked intentional (man I wish I had a fraps of you running out of the room, gathering up skeletons, running BACK to us, running in circles around us for a while trying to get them to aggro, then gating- so not an accident) and let you off with a warning. Then you went and got yourself in trouble again. Sounds like he really wanted to give you the benefit of the doubt, but you said it yourself, it was people going to him saying you were KSing. Not one. More than one. It's pretty hard to accidentally KS more than one person to the point of them going to an officer in your guild. I haven't been an officer very long, hell, I started in Jan this year. And in that time probably 1/3 of our e-mails going back and forth between officers are about your cleric or enchanter. We talked about you quite a lot. It's not like your removal was on a whim. All the officers made an educated decision, with the provided evidence, and that decision was to remove you for the good of the guild.

I'm not trying to argue with you or nothing, I have no hard feelings. But, I'd rather you not try to drag our guild through the mud when you got yourself removed with your actions.

Ok, i was going to bite my tongue but the irony here is too much! I was just stirring the pot at first but

I have yet to find a BDA monk who gives 2 fucks about cleric mana. This is KC faceroll groups specifically with the 54-58ish monks in your guild since thats my clerics level range atm. Since KC is such a joke I normally roll with it because exp is exp even if im low mana the whole time. But I've seen them wipe group after group or get the chanter killed because they just keep pulling with zero fucks given and when more than intended is pulled somebody dies. I not only tell the group my mana, but I have 10 macros so I can spam 10m 20m 30m etc after every pull. That is why im skeptical. Not saying a monk was even involved in this scenario but just my observation, and hilarious after i warned a BDA monk practically the whole group how retarded he was for pulling when we have no mana.

With that said I don't have an issue with BDA or anything, much <3

Eh. Our monks get a little crazy, but that's because they're mostly pretty leet. A good monk- a good puller, period, and I know this because I have to pull pretty often- should push their group cause if you're pulling one mob at a time, dinky dinky doo, wait five minutes, get another, doodle doodle dee, the exp suffers. Unfortunately there's more risk in that strategy and sometimes you lose that fight.

I posit to you that it's not just BDA monks, it's all monks to some extent but especially all the really good ones, who will pull with enough frequency and/or intensity (number of mobs per pull vs. number of mobs per minute) that your healer isn't sitting there with full mana, thumb in ass, wishing they were getting better exp.

I was tanking for that HS South group and can confirm that he intentionally trained us in the first large room of the wing. We were talking to him since journeying the previous wing (West, I think?), trying to nudge him with questions of why he wasn't healing us at certain times. When we went to South, it was obvious that this guy couldn't keep up, so I gave him the fact of the matter. Stop AFKing, start healing, or we're replacing you. Then he told us we were going to die anyway. I told him to leave, and he gated, but not after casting Divine Barrier and pulling two rooms of mobs on top of us.

It makes me glad to see that Knights has acquired enough concrete evidence to remove this fellow from the guild. He is clearly remorseless and cannot see how his actions fuck with others.

Obviously we all make errors in this game, as in life. Equally important to the errors made is how the person chooses to act after offending another.

But it's probably a moot point anyway cause I think we did have a monk in our group, but I think I was pulling, and that always means single pulls with an inordinate amount of time between them while I sit there trying to cycle lull through a whole room of mobs and if I miss one i have to start all over. There were a couple big pulls in there, like when I'd get a critical lull resist, but we had a necro and a bard. Our CC was quite adequate.

This is true, but with a caveat: A good puller will pull enough to push his group, but *not* wipe them. Mistakes will happen, occasionally, but in a popular zone like Karnor group wipes should be exceedingly rare. A puller who pulls half a dozen monsters when his Enchanter and Cleric are out of mana (we've all seen it happen) isn't a good puller, he's just an impatient twit. Excessive deaths and delays will slow a group down more than a slight reduction in pull rate.

As for the rest of the thread, mostly I'm surprised at the original poster caring so much about being removed from his guild. Folks don't usually worry about what happens in mid-low tier guilds too much.

Eh. Our monks get a little crazy, but that's because they're mostly pretty leet. A good monk- a good puller, period, and I know this because I have to pull pretty often- should push their group cause if you're pulling one mob at a time, dinky dinky doo, wait five minutes, get another, doodle doodle dee, the exp suffers. Unfortunately there's more risk in that strategy and sometimes you lose that fight.

I posit to you that it's not just BDA monks, it's all monks to some extent but especially all the really good ones, who will pull with enough frequency and/or intensity (number of mobs per pull vs. number of mobs per minute) that your healer isn't sitting there with full mana, thumb in ass, wishing they were getting better exp.

Some of the best groups I've been in contained Keke, Filbus and Theraflu as healer. Keke is probably one of the best bards I've ever met. Yea they pull fast, its a high paced dps group but everyone knows their role. If this guy didn't get that in the first half hour well then he obviously needs to go back to KC or hit up EC for some more wis/mana gear. If you get the chance to group with those guys, be honored and have tons of fun.

But it's probably a moot point anyway cause I think we did have a monk in our group, but I think I was pulling, and that always means single pulls with an inordinate amount of time between them while I sit there trying to cycle lull through a whole room of mobs and if I miss one i have to start all over. There were a couple big pulls in there, like when I'd get a critical lull resist, but we had a necro and a bard. Our CC was quite adequate.

First off, hats off to Knights. I've always respected you guys and it seems that you are making big strides in your organization (i.e. taking out the trash). You ought to think about giving the rotation a shot.

Second, keke, I love yah bro but how do you have a bard, necro, monk, non-epic warrior, cleric, random person not named Juevento in the group and have it be high DPS?

My guess is you probably have one or two charmed mobs going most of the time. You charm mobs and when they break you end up taking lots more damage than normal. Then the healer needs to save your ass cause you don't have any mr debuff in the group and your charm lasted 16 seconds with three mobs in camp that ignore silly halfling warriors.

Maybe just maybe you guys were pushing too hard. So I dunno, you probably had that train coming.

Ok, i was going to bite my tongue but the irony here is too much! I was just stirring the pot at first but

I have yet to find a BDA monk who gives 2 fucks about cleric mana. This is KC faceroll groups specifically with the 54-58ish monks in your guild since thats my clerics level range atm. Since KC is such a joke I normally roll with it because exp is exp even if im low mana the whole time. But I've seen them wipe group after group or get the chanter killed because they just keep pulling with zero fucks given and when more than intended is pulled somebody dies. I not only tell the group my mana, but I have 10 macros so I can spam 10m 20m 30m etc after every pull. That is why im skeptical. Not saying a monk was even involved in this scenario but just my observation, and hilarious after i warned a BDA monk practically the whole group how retarded he was for pulling when we have no mana.

BDA monks do the same thing to BDA raids, so nice to hear they're being consistent! :) I swear, a level 46 bard with an AE song lit off could come back with less mobs...

I've been playing Everquest for about 8 months, I love this game. I love the grouping and interaction between players and the fun of running from trains or having to get your corpse in HHK but being bound in EC tunnel(gawd).

I was in Knights Who Say Ni, I was with them for ohh about 6 months. I attended a few raids and was a pretty active member overall. I helped when I could and rezz'd and buffed lower members. I thought the guild overall favored me.

I was wrong. I was kicked! What? why? Why didnt even anyone speak with me? I asked and they responded with it was a decision by the leader! Again why?

They responded well, your alt was reported a few times KS'ing in HHK.

We all have issues but honestly a boot from a guild over a few people reporting that I KS'd? I would think the good outweighs the bad by a long run.

My alts an enchanter... how badly could I have KS'd to get that kind of rep?

Now I will admit, ive had my scuffles...i'm not perfect, but they are eventually worked out and dealt with accordingly.

This is everquest anyway, scuffles and issues are to occur!

So I asked why hasn't anyone asked me for my side of things? This all happened like 2x months ago and they are just now getting to it? I mean..come on officers & leaders... why wouldn't you have come to me earlier and asked. Hey smite, what happened bro?

I just couldn't live with all these people who didn't believe me that I was in a group with a bad cleric one time, so I went to a great deal of trouble to get the proof that the people were demanding. Here's a screenshot taken by the cleric in question proving that we were a good group and he wasn't healing. You'll see that he admits to being afk as well as complementing me on my pulls. I hope this settles the issue sufficiently so we can all just move on.
