Petition to revoke IP bans from Ryanj and Meggetter from P1999 server and forums

Search for Ryanj (also known as Minyin 2.0 and Theexorcist) and his brother, Meggetter, on the forums and it quickly becomes clear that these two have been treated most unfairly. Much of the basis for their being chastised and abused on forums are related to some videos that they posted on youtube, which are of questionable taste and can be found here:

Google "ryantwin20" and and you'll see that they both suffer from many mental/cultural problems, and that they frequently use the internet as a medium to explore some of their "unique" points of view.

I believe that the IP bans which were impacted, were heavily based on public opinion or "popular demand", and were thus achieved unfairly. Although this may have resulted in a scenario that is pleasurable to the community at large, i believe that the process by which the bans were resulted go against policy, and the bans should therefore be revoked.

Were the bans to be revoked, i believe that both Ryanj and Meggetter should be subjected to a NO-STRIKE policy, meaning that if they abuse the server rules further then they should be rebanned.

I am opening this petition as a vote. Please feel free to answer honestly, as the poll is anonymous.

Damn, this sets such a bad example. He was banned like 12 hours before all these dumb 'petition to ban blah blah' threads/posts went up, ban petitions don't actually work.

You mean account bans? IP bans are not effective since internet providers typically rotate IP's unless you pay for a static.

I'm quite sure Derubael didn't ban them on a mere whim. They were pretty shady characters and we probably don't know half of what they've done.

That's my take as well. Just because they didn't publicly list each infraction for public comment it doesn't mean it done lightly.
