i remember offering a turkey sandwich to a homeless guy, and rather accepting it, he asked me what it was. i told him turkey, then he looked at me silent for a few seconds and asked if i had anything else. when i said no, he gave it back and went back to begging for change to buy food.

I remember in Wichita Falls, TX they had a reporter go undercover as a begger near a very overpass downtown. He did this for 3 months begging for change for 4 hours a day. Made over 8,000 dollars begging under that bridge.

I was south of Atlanta one day coming out of a Carl's Jr. Some dude walks up to me being all nice and starts washing my windows. He then demands some money for the job he just did. When showed him my empty wallet (I never carry cash on me), he got all pissed and pulled out a pack of 5 dollar cigarettes and lit up while walking away pissed. I then noticed the 200 dollar nikes he was wearing.

I'm curious... What's the percentage of homeless people that are down on their luck? That if you helped them out they could get somewhere.

Sometimes I feel bad for the poor and homeless. But there have been multiple times I encounter someone who ruins the image that no everyone is bad.
