The problem with this dilemma is that blueberry pie and cherry pie are both so iconic. Cherry pie is reminiscent of tender young women and the super sweetness of youth, while blueberry pie evokes images of summer days and picking fruits with your first love. Both are equally good a la mode, and both have a great sweet taste and little negative aftertaste. Cherry pie is more tart, which is a bonus, but blueberry comes back to equal the playing field with the mellow smooth flavor only found in those luscious little bites of blue. I can appreciate your attempt at critical thinking, but I really don't think you can really choose one over the other.
