If I go out of state to the in-laws for the holidays and install EQ on their PC and login as me will there be any problems with me showing up at a different IP address?

Maybe this belongs in Tech support but there's nothing wrong I just have a question. /shrug

No. Your Ip changes on a regular basis even on the same PC so there is no issue with your account logging in from another one.

Don't even need to install it on their PC, you can just take a flash drive with you with a copy of your EQ Titanium folder. You also need to make a new shortcut to put on the flash drive (http://www.project1999.org/forums/showpost.php?p=1052819&postcount=2).

You may want to consider spending time with your family and not playing...

You make the first round of drinks. Roofiecolada for everyone and then you can play all the EQ you want.

Thulack is correct, as in most people have dynamic ips through their isp. Which just means every time you connect to your isp hub after idle times, you are assigned a new generic ip. Smaller hubs may only have as few as 5 ips, while major city hubs may have 1000 or more. Now if your lucky in your job and play eq from work, your ip may never change, as alot of businesses have static ips. Static ips connect your router to hubs using the same ip everytime, which you would know if you have to actually type in the ip in the windows settings. But i imagine if you look under your connection settings, your computer will say detect ip automatically, hence dynamic.

Bah I am here and it won't work. EQGame experiences an error every time I try to go to the server character select.

I put the shortcut in the flash root and also tried it from the desktop.

that did it thanks! i think the problem was that I run it at home at a resolution higher than this system can handle.

The installer thing is great! My 2 horizontal action bars are now 1 vertical and mapping "2" to do sense heading stopped working but other than that it's awesome. I do wish I could figure out how some folks are getting that compass on their screen.

the EQNSA will track you as a suspected Enemy of the Box but other than that, your family is safe for now

compass is window dressing, you just level sense heading or buy a compass at vendors
