I prefer my Nazi killin movies to be non-fiction. Loved Iron Sky.

The movie wasn't amazing because of the "nazi killing", it was amazing because of the tension in all the scenes that come to fruition by amazing climaxes that were facilitated by amazing screenwriting and acting.
It is possibly the best film ever made.
The first scene, the bar scene and the strudel scene are 3 of the best scenes in any movie ever made.
I think the bar scene is the best scene in cinematic history, it just sucks that the best actor in the movie wasn't showcased in that scene like in the other two.

I would also nominate QT's scene in four rooms as best ever status.

The best thing about jackie brown is how subdued it was. Every single movie before and after he did was SUPER DUPER INTENSE. Kill Bill(KILL FUCKING NINJAS!!!!), Death Proof(KILL KURT RUSSELL!!!), Django(KILL WHITEY!!!!!)..always had moments that was INTENSE INTENSE INTENSE. Fuck he made the tension in IB INTENSE!!!!!!!!!!!! (BEARJEWSUS!)
In Jackie Brown. Everything was subdued. Every death scene was quick, or shot from an overhead/obstructed angle. The heist, the plans, the subterfuge was the highlight. And Pam fucking Grier carrying every single scene she was in. I am sad we will never see him direct like this again. When he does films like this they do not sell.
Forgotten Classic ya'll

I definitely agree that understatement was awesome in JB, but I think you're selling QT short, generally. All of his movies have scenes of action, sure, but he also has some of the richest and most nuanced dialogue in the biz. I find your reduction simple minded, offensively so.

- Scene between Christopher Walken and Dennis Hopper in True Romance.
- Scene with Samuel L. Jackson quoting Ezekiel 25:17 in Pulp Fiction
- Scene where Michael Madsen chops off the cop's ear in Resevoir Dogs
QT just knows how to make a fucking movie. Those three scenes are some of the best shit I've seen put to film. Apologies if the above have already been linked.

Over time I have soured on the Ezekiel quote. But its Integral to the diner scene that put's that movie over the top.

but that is the critical moment of difference between QT's alternate universe and the real one. Without that moment, the rest of his movies seem out of place with reality, without knowing why. With that moment, now we know.

QT also wrote "Natural Born Killers". Alas, none of those scenes count.
Still love his part in "Four Corners" though. Favorite part of that movie. Even more than the topless chicks in the first part.

supposedly there is a major connection between characters in django and the rest of his universe, but that shit is too esoteric for me, my fanboyism has limits.
