The Salvation Army thinks that all 'gays' should be put to death, according to their life guide, 'The Bible'.

The bible also states that incest, unjustified murder, slavery, and more is an acceptable way of life.

Get fucking real. A civilization as advanced as us shouldn't be taking a literal following of a COMPILATION of stories by MANY DIFFERENT people that are nothing but dust now. You can't just fucking pick and choose what YOU want to believe and hear out of your religious teachings. If you believe one thing in the bible, you HAVE to believe in everything else it says.

Otherwise, you are just a fake fucking piece of shit that is trying to use 'The Bible' against things that you personally don't agree with.
You can't just pick and choose what you want and mentally block out all the rest of the things that your religion tells you is right or wrong.

Whether or not I find it gross or disgusting doesn't matter in this sense. If these two people can provide a loving environment for children that would otherwise be in crackhouses with parents that would abandon them to go out to get on a five-day drug binge, I am okay with that.

And lets not forget that while they not be in the exact same sect. Christian spiritual leaders for years of different sorts have also been accused, as well as convicted of decades of child abuse, not to mention the main organizations covering such actions up. Should these people be put to death? Sure they believe in god, but they are by no means being a good person by condemning a child to such abuse, which can completely fuck them up for the rest of their lives.

Not all gay couples make great parents, not all preachers/priests/deacons/whatever are child molestors. The world we have today is so many different shades of grey that it makes absolutely no benefit to your charity to come out and make blanket statements such as a certain group of people should be killed. Close-mindedness in today's society can close a lot of doors and with today's media, people will know. I just wish people in this position would do the right things.

I just think it's sad that a charity who really has done good things for all sorts of people would take something based on faith and say something so vicious, especially to possibly people they have helped in the past!
