i was going to do a HS duo with Aerowen, but decided to dose first. got lost on the way to the portal in OT, and died after jumping off a cliff because i didn't realize my lev had worn off. thankfully Aerowen can handle his shit way better than me. he dragged me into the outpost and Getsome (bless his soul) gave me a click of his stick.

another time, i legitimately got lost in West Commonlands. took me about an hour and a half to get to the East Commonlands tunnel to buy those 10 Dose Blood of the Wolf potions. thankfully, the guy i was buying them from understood my dilemma, and didn't sell them to someone more sober while i stumbled my way towards civilization.

I've never had a problem getting high and playing eq, have done so on a wide range of substances.

Played WoW one time while I was really stoned after not having smoked pot in a long time. I ran in circles for about a half hour in the barrens and then pulled my shit together and started killing stuff.

Depends and what drug you are talking about and what you are doing. I would group with a meth head because you know they would be wide awake. You would only have to worry about them being distracted picking the imaginary bugs from their skin. Would have nothing to do with them in RL however.

Potheads annoy me in game because they seem very distracted, tend to be late with heals. I enjoy selling to them in EC though because they tend to be too lazy to haggle or to check Wiki for prices.

If you are a liar and cheater like Gaffin, I would avoid what ever cocktail of drugs he was using. He sounded like he was barley awake in the Tiggles owning, I mean interview,with his slurred speech and drooling. Fortunately for us, unfortunately for him, what ever he was on kept him from remembering all the lies he told and made him sloppy.

Tried to play high a couple times, but in general there are more interesting things to do than play Everquest while on drugs. I can't even imagine playing EQ while on a hallucinogen. I think I tried to play Halo on acid once and stopped after like 45 seconds.

I remember being entranced by the change in jungle sounds and walking back and forth triggering the two ambient background effects. Pretty sure I was just lost by seeing my SK walk around in 3rd person in the jungle. I was more impressed by the colors and sounds triggered of walking around than spell casting.

You may want to consider sobering up for a bit. Drugs can be a good thing or a bad thing. If you need them just to function, you've probably crossed over into bad territory.

Drugs can definitely be a bad thing, even pot if used in excess for some people (some people can smoke all day everyday and still do fine in life, other people like me for example get really lazy and unmotivated and just play games all day, which is bad =P)

Perhaps I misread, but he did say he couldn't play without being high, which I took to mean he couldn't function without it. Maybe he was just saying EQ is no fun without weed. In which case, I'd imagine it would be even more fun to do something you already find fun.

And I'm not sure I'd consider playing an online video game to be conducive to having a transcendental experience. Quite the opposite really.
