Tongue firmly placed up TMO's ass, lawl.

This old man is quite possibly the most pathetic poster on the forums, and we still have Naez here to laugh at.

Late forties single faggot sucks up to children on the internet for pixels.

Atta boy, Harry. Keep pretending to be a tough guy on the internet. We've all seen what happens when you open your suckhole in person. Keep up with the slurs. It makes you seem so butch.

Alawen

Unarmed there isn't a single person on this planet who would have come out of that situation any differently.

You have zero ability to make me feel ashamed to have survived a situation someone like you, and old faggot, would have likely died in.

You're having a lot of trouble with articles, conjunctions, and punctuation today, Harry. It seems like you're pretty upset.

Your attempt to make getting your head crushed into an act of heroism is most amusing. I think you're forgetting which one of us was honorably discharged from military service. Semper fidelis, fatty.

Even at the height of the blood feud between the Bearjew and Everywhere clans, I would not have degraded my opponent thus, and would have proved this truth upon the body of any who would try and say elsewise.

You should feel ashamed of yourself.

I wasn't dishonorably discharged, if that's what you're implying old man.

Seriously, what does you being in the military even have relevance to? Congratulations, you're on the same level as I am except now you're too old to be of any use to anyone.

I'm hungry, Harry. Could you get me a sandwich? I'd like roast beef and provolone on a hard roll with lettuce, tomato, sprouts, pickle, red onion. Mayo on one side, mustard on the other. Thanks, young deli family man.

Fascinating. This just became a thing in the last ten years or so where people consider their opinions on food to be indisputable truth, much like politics, religion, and music. I just consider all of you to be sandwich fascists.

Incidentally I'm up for the horseradish or the philly, but the lettuce seems completely superfluous to me if you're going minimal. Roll, beef, horseradish.

The pejorative is actually a modern usage. If you think it's not offensive to the gay community, try dropping it a few times in a leather bar and see how that goes for you. I look forward to the MS paint self-portrait. Trying to pretend that slurs including faggot, ******, and retard are not insulting in both a general and specific sense is purely delusional.

I don't watch stupid preachy shit like South Park. And I disagree. One must be the change one sees in the world! I don't care if angst-laden homosexuals are offended by the word "faggot;" there are other demographics that see it as something else entirely. Unlike the word the word "******," the word "faggot" has another accepted connotation among a far-reaching group of people. Who made a bunch of leather-clad homosexuals the authority on semantics? It's just a word, anyways. The implication is in the mouth of the speaker. If people want to get bent out of shape making assumptions and taking things the wrong way, they can go for it.

I suggest we all do our part to eliminate the homosexual-related connotation sometimes attached to the beautiful masterpiece that is the word "faggot." There was a time when the word "swell" was considered a curse.

The same goes for "retarded." The meaning has evolved, in some contexts, to such a degree that oftentimes "retarded" simply means "masterful," in certain regards anyways. Shawn Lane is retarded at the electric guitar. I think this is the most fitting description of his playing without employing a more long-winded description. Some poor mother of a developmentally-disabled child somewhere would pitch a real fit though if she heard me say that, probably without even catching on to my meaning.

Some people have nothing better to do than go around looking to get offended.

Louis C.K.'s success completely belies the nonchalance with which you want to treat these charged words. If his language were not shocking, his riffs would lose most of their humor.

Some words lose their effects with time--my Irish friend John could care less if I call him a mick, and wop might get you a funny look but probably not a fist in the face. That time has not yet come for the slurs in question. Throw around the words faggot, queer, and gay all you want to, but don't be surprised when most of the population considers you a bigot.

You mistake the intention of my jab.

And here - specifically - is why specificity matters.

In colloquial terms (i.e. wrongly defined words), professional means "getting paid to do something," and amateur means "not very good at something." However, in reality, professional indicates membership in a profession, which is a very specific type of job-class that implies expertise, knowledge, skill, and ethics, among other qualities. Amatuer (again this is in reality) refers to someone who does something because they love to do it (e.g. cognac amateur), and implies no such thing as lower skill level or lack of payment for services rendered. In fact, those meanings only came to common usage because of modern sports, and you're a pop culture ninny for not getting this in the first fucking place.

The quotes, Aladerp, were placed because I knew what you meant by professional. They were, in fact, implying colloquial usage.

Which makes all of this kind of ironing.

I used to use specific language and formal definitions, but then I got sick of the fact that no one outside of the university understood a fucking word I was saying or the point I was making due to their lack of understanding of the English language. I understand both of your arguments and all I can say is that word usage is all about your audience in the end. Neither approach is correct in all instances. If you can get your point across isn't that the underlying reason for communicating in the first place?

Out of curiosity, I checked OED for etymology on the word professional. It entered the English language in rare usage from the Latin profiteor by way of French in the 15th century, at which point it was particular to a religious calling. The current usage of professional as one who makes a profession or business of any occupation appeared in the OED in 1811.

I suppose now we'll have to have an argument about what archaic means.

No offense to oxford, but like I said, I'll let professionals decide what a profession is. That's the expertism part of being a professional - we get to define jargon. :)

Professional is not jargon.

That sounds like a decent sammich except Subway's bread is so gummy and the meat is odd. I'd want onions on it, but I pretty much want onions on just about everything.

Let's play a game to make RnF more interesting.

One of the bad guy TMO players can be contacted here: (616) 295-1050.

Who is it?

Not even close to funny. Enjoy your ban for RL info.

I knew Fansy the famous bard. You, sir, are no Fansy.

It must be easy to win arguments when you redefine words at will. Externally, it just looks like you are the worst loser ever. I'd love to hear your definition of what open-minded means.

I am curious how old and how much money Alawen and HBB make? You both seem pretty educated. The next question is how sucessful are you with woman and/or men?
I am a bit skeptical as to whether or not to impressed by such nerds or laugh. I think the answers will help me reach that conclusion. Also you to do a great job verbally sucking each other off. It really gets me hard.

If you get a bunch of geeks/nerds together in a group, odds are at least a few of them have been extremely successful whether it's financially, with women or both. The issue with the forums is that photoshop is a thing and the term "prove it" can't be easily countered by pulling a business card out of your pocket or an engagement ring on a finger. :)

I see your point. Infact a healthy balance in health, wealth, and love... Is a ideal life least IMO. I find on the project1999 forums, that most people are lacking one more than the other. Infact it seems like a big penis contest , but each person has their own buddy sucking them off to stay hard.
