This is fucking everquest. Why would you expect anything other than one uber guild to crush 90% of the content? While it's nice that some of you were on happy care bear servers with rotations on live, most of us weren't and the rules have been clear here for a very long time. There is nothing stopping another guild from stepping up and competing with TMO, we saw what FE could do(for a couple weeks), but the fact is no other guild has had the leadership or been able to put in the work that TMO has.

Hearing people berate TMO for 'being the best guild on the server' has to be one of the most pathetic things I hear on a regular basis. The couple weeks I spent in BDA, was a very eye-opening experience. Never before have I seen one guild hate another with such pure passion. Never before have I seen adult men with families, lie through their teeth rather than admit that TMO simply beat them. Never before have I seen an entire guild simply pretend that Chest wasn't the cause of many trains and blame them on TMO.

In this thread, we simply have a bunch of people who have been fully aware of the crazy effort and organization it takes to lock down all of these raid mobs for years who just want to bash the only guild willing to put in that effort. So pathetic.

Im going to stop playing Orsk as well as the shaman I have. It was fun working my way up. The people i met here were great,and some others not so great, not everyone enjoyed me im sure but thats that i guess.

Harrison I'm going to play this one objectively, because I seem to be someone here that can do that.

IB appears to have had the cheating upperhand and a brave TMO member (allegedly, I'm not sure on this) decided to bed the red headed land monster in an attempt to fight fire with fire.

The results appear to have been that a cheating guild was run off the server or was otherwise done with farming content (probably valid honestly) and didn't feel like continuing a now "even footing" war of attrition.

So... Harrison, being a good problem solver it would appear someone needs to find a way to do the same. It's called winning. Now, when you go this route, sometimes things can backfire.

For instance, you discover the source of the exploit and out perform the other guild in replicating it. Then, one of two things happens.

1- you become the new guild in charge and it is some how swept under the rug with the other guild leaving
2- the GMs slam you and not the other team for current/prior offenses and you take the server population down with you

Either way, make sure you get your runed mithril tunics on the way out.

First of all i'd like to state if you are camping the Dhampyre, you need to stay there, and not be AFK when/if Dhamp spawns. Its still rightfully yours if the Dhamp spawns while you are AFK at the camp, but i promise you after a certain amount of time someone will kill it. Also, YOU WILL LOSE you're camp if you decide to leave for a minute and go kill Lasna Cheroon. I'm usually nice about this issue, but as of late i've had more than five people call Dhamp as being camped when they are not even there.

If you are not at a camp, its not yours. I've had a Dhampyre stolen from me numerous times, each and every time a GM does nothing about it... this in turn has gotten around to the bad players, who take advantage of this. (FattyFatty for example, ran up out of nowhere, DT'ed the Dhamp immediatley after engaging to make sure i couldnt out DPS it.)

I wear a See invis item and if the Dhamp spawns and no one is there, me and anyone else in the right mind will engage. Stay there, don't go anywhere.

If you zone in and someone is clearing the whole zone of their named, you still have to CC and they can pick one of theirs. (Because before you got there, all of them were theirs.)

You can't walk in and take one of theirs, however. (This is the ruling used in Lguk and still holds now elsewhere.)

That's not how it goes as I've been involved in a lot of disputes in various zones where I was holding several camps.

The GM ruling was always what I just outlined. (But in your case where if the mob spawns and no one is there to kill it, it is open. But if the guy is going from camp to camp he doesn't lose it the moment he leaves it with the PH/Mob down. It's still his.)

For Instance, TMO exploits IP excemptions in Fear/VP to avoid dying/train other guilds. Desmo and Aiaus Both caught in multiple fraps doing so, and are unpunished.

TMO Exploits Z-axis in VP by accessing locations outside the map to avoid being trained, and once FE learns how to do so...GM's show up and make it against the rules. So ITs OK for TMO to do for 2 years in VP but once another guild effectively does the same thing to pull a phara dar, it becomes against the rules. No wonder IB left this server.
