Why no talk or roadmap on Velious?

Just seems like we're all left in the dark, face-desking our way to other games while we wait.

Why not hold a fundraiser to hire some help?

Less and less people seem to be buying items and the initial new player rush seems to have died down on blue, to me it just seems like a lot of the life on the server has withered out...

Contrary to what hardcore raiders who have 5 or 6 lvl 60 alts will tell you. It's not very easy to make money as a lower level character, yet the prices of items keeps going up. Most items that would/should sell for under 1k or even 500pp in some cases are usually ending up on NPC vendors because people don't want to sit in EC for 2-3 hours to make less than 5k plat at a time, it's just not worth it when the item they are saving up for costs 60-200k.

Don't get me wrong, there are tons of generous players who still give out old gear to newer players, offering buffs to lowbies etc. But that doesn't change the fact that the economy is indeed fucked.

In before DAR's price has been constant for 3 years. That's the only item that's stayed constant. FBSS and JBoots like everything else are through the roof compared to just a year ago.

lol, the funny thing about this game is, you dont need any platinum to get any item you want (as long as it still drops), so all the economy complaints are laughable

A lot of people play these types of games like to play the economy somewhat - I'm not bringing it up for my own sake, I'm "complaining" because it's not healthy for the game.

When we had a surge of new players it was awesome to see people WTB'ing specific pieces of lowbie gear and to see lowbies sell various pieces so they could afford spells, ports, rezzes and whatnot.

Seeing players WTB'ing is usually a sign of a healthy game.

I've personally seen the fbss camp open in guk, fungi camp/crypt open in sebilis, efreeti camp open in solb all in the past week

And these are just some high end camps

Theres tons of newbies who are able to get money, if you cant figure out how to make money in EC (like tons of newbies are able to do), then get yourself to a camp and camp the item you want, its not hard and its not unreasonable, economy complaints are for the lazy/stupid

The problem is people want to climb the server's financial ladder to have all the best gear possible for their main and all the alts they want. Not being able to do this easily (WoW mentality etc) means a lot of tears, calls for a new server (where they can hyperinflate but stay on top of it), and forum rage.

I've always struggled to keep a bank balance in line with what a FBSS costs, but I get all the lesser stuff I need (racial armor and a few other nice items for alts) without having to kill myself :p

If having a ~20% haste item or a manastone is really that 'game changing' for you, then you've lost the essence of why you came to play here :/

You guys have failed to see that the only reason I brought up the fact that people aren't buying things anymore is because a lot of people have stopped playing the game to wait for Velious.

As for the camps being open, it helps my argument that p99 needs to find ways to release Velious as some of the most sought after camps are even sitting open.

People quit because they can go outside now. Happens every year. Having a tan makes anybody look less fat.

its also considerably higher then sundays were in 2010 but my posts were really initally directed toward kagatob, as for velious, yeah it would speed things up if people could help the devs with the work, theres threads from nilbog detailing things he needs researched which has made a lot of progress, but anybody with good knowledge of c++ can help with code that needs to be done for velious, i believe one issue that needs to be worked on is corpse dragging aggro, maybe some of the programmers who play here should step up and help out
