Me and 2 others have been farming Chardok Royals on and off for a few days. As usual when doing this, you kill King and Queen, log out for about 1.5 hours and then kill them again, etc.

We do our rounds, log out and come back to see Svenn and The A-Team coming down to try and kill royals. Svenn assumes we leapfrogged them (lol) and starts sending me tells about how I can suck his dick and he doesnt like me and blah blah...I shake it off, even have a few laughs after they wiped and after several insults, this mental case is trying to get me to res him. Fast forward one more day....

We make our way down to Royals again, and see A-Team is there attempting to kill them. As were ressing up, they are attempting to kill King, and fail...again. After much banter back and forth in say, threatening to train us and such, we even decide to let them try again. This time their cleric (Unbrella) doesn't DA on pull, gets smoked and we get this, ladies and gentlemen.....

Except that isn't how it works.

The same situation has arisen in Lguk countless times and once you log out you no longer have any claim to the camp. Clearing to the camp is more of an intent than logging in. There is precedent to this already in past rulings.

If they did train, that isn't right either, but I'm just telling you the rules.

So if you log in to a camp and its full pop, no one around, you HAVE to shout and see if anyone is clearing to it? because somehow intent magically grants you claim?

I don't agree with it, but im quite sure by the rules if you come to a camp thats full pop and no ones around, IE maintaining presence at said camp, whether its logging in or running up to you are free to claim it. no CC required, no verifying someones intent needed

We lull pulled the king to the safe spot (4-man crew).

I decided that would be a good time to check my mallet for charges and I didn't have any.

Vitus (playing unbrella) didn't have DA up and got utterly smoked by the king.

I tanked the king blind for about 20 seconds and returned to my bind point.

All in all a very pro showing by the A-Team!

Necro #1 camps out at EE in Lguk. Relogs to kill PH and logs out.

Necro #1 logs in his alt, Necro B, at Frenzy. Kills PHs and logs back to Necro #1.

During the time he logged to Frenzy, someone starts clearing to Evil Eye(I know it's not necessary to clear, just invis to it, but using clearing for the sake of the argument). Since he can only claim a camp he has a presence at (Frenzy) he can't suddenly decide he wants Evil Eye, because the party heading to it has more of a claim to it than he does since he was logged out.

yes but they didnt move from royals to say..prince, they logged out at royals and logged in at royals. When they logged in no one had any sort of presence at royals, so they took it.

if youre in lguk and no one else is around you can clear all the mobs you want, but if you leave ee to frenzy and someone take over ee and maintains presence yes its there. if you take out frenzy they do a cc and then claim they are clearing to ee, you invis back to it real fast before he gets there and you have claimed it before him and must maintain that presence or he could take it.

I have always hated two forces attempting the same target in EQ. When two forces are so close together, shit happens. And this looks like another one of those: the shit hits the fan (let's not forget the overking blinds), two camps are on top of each other, and there are casualties (or in this case, casualty).

Once you are within line of sight; you may consider there distance from camp legitimately. And to my knowledge once you have aggro on a mob, this creates an unwritten consent that you take full responsibility for what ever may happen to anyone after you drop aggro (DIE cuz u dont have an FD ring, or at least have a charged one. No Vermilion Sky Ring = doo doo shaman; no matter what your kill sheet states.)

I see that his invis did not break after getting fluxed for 220 and falling for one point of damage. I would guess gflux damage is considered similar to fall damage or like when your invis and swim thru lava, you can take damage but it stays on? too many patches for me to be current.

Also i agree this is a small issue. But the fact that they where out of LOS, means they weren't too close. They were technically at a infinite distance from aggro, until Svenn purposely dragged King on top of them and died... LOS is a big deal, and a powerful tool.
