These people have at least 7 kids, and have watched at least 2 die in front of them without doing anything but watching an 8month old waste away and die. And all they get is a 10 year probation that they have to take their kids for regular check ups?
What a joke these nutjobs should be locked up and their kids puttin in protective custody.

Actually, prayer, as a subset of positive thinking, does have many beneficial effects on many disease processes. Will it stop you from dying? No. Is it more efficacious than placebo? Yes.

Your own Personal prayer and poisitive thinking will help, but thinking positively for someone else doesnt help them any.
If only that 8 month old had the ability to pray jesus would have saved him!

This is correct. It has to do with biofeedback and a positive mental state. Lying to yourself actually works.

Science proves that praying for people actually hurts them.

From looking at the pictures of those 2, they seem more like the type to crack open a Budweiser and turn up the volume of NASCAR to drown out the sound of their neglected children.
The prayer thing seems more like an excuse to be negligent parents tbh.

You are bad at science. One piece of data doesn't prove anything. Furthermore no variables are controlled for in this "experiment." For example, every day I spend an hour praying earnestly to God to prevent stupid people from breeding. Did my prayer negate their prayer, thereby letting nature take its course? Or did my pray-power overwhelm theirs, leading God to kill a child that would otherwise have recovered and spread his inferior genetics?

No, you are bad at science for not pointing out that science, by definition does not prove anything. I'm gussing you didn't even read the findings, 59% vs 52% is statistically insignificant and as laughable as this study in general.
Here's another stupid article showing the contrary to my last

Studying duck penis is more fruitful than this crap.
In conclusion: you've been trolled.
