Some of my favorite games of all time came from this dev house.

Sad to see them abused by Disney, but I guess I expected this.

Let's hope they are doing this to shut down some of the idiotic tangents conceived in the Mania of Lucas in his later years, with an eye on traditionalism and bringing back the old school.

I just want another X-wing game. I wasted like half my childhood on those games. It was awesome.

X-Wing and Tie Fighter were both extremely superior games when compared to X-Wing vs. Tie Fighter.

I was the first kid on my block with a flightstick because of those fucking games.

Crushing the Rebels in Tie-Fighter was one of the best things that has ever happened in gaming. Seems I should have joined TMO with opinions like that!

Never really played many Lucasarts games, simply because most of their games were Star Wars-related. Im not a big Star Wars fan personally, but i think of old early 90 PC games when i think of them, during that time i was all about I.D software (Doom, Wolfenstein 3D) and Sierra. (Kings Quest, Adventure Games)

One good game that came from Lucasarts was called "Outlaws" it was a first person western shooter with cartoon-ish graphics. I played it not too long ago, its not a bad game, was alot better back in its day though.

Dark Forces, Dark Forces 2, Indiana Jones: Fate of Atlantis, Shadows of the Empire, and Rogue Squadron, etc are all great games. Hopefully, Star Wars and Indiana Jones games will come out from other companies licensing the intellectual property.

You Jedi Knight newbs, movie battles 2 was where the real action was at. The jk games were fun, but in the end just a stepping stone to the glorious promised land that was mb2.

I don't remember a worthwhile title coming out of that group in the past 20 years... is this really something worth caring about?

No, but people hate change and nerds always cry when their nostalgia is trampled upon. They expect these guys to continue to throw away money into something all these nerds don't even give to shits about until they stop throwing money at it.

Fucking nerds. The games you loved have been made, go buy them and play them.

I'm still more amused/find it more interesting that J.J.A. is doing Star Trek and Star Wars at the same time.

Damn right!

Dark Forces 2 was basically my first FPS (apart from like, wolf3d and doom and such), and god, those were some good times. Picked it up on Steam again several months ago for some more fun. But god damn, it is a lot easier to play nowadays with a mouse and asdw instead of arrow keys and control/shift/alt/space/etc. Lol.

Nilbog, drop this everquest crap and get on making a few thousand Jedi Knight 2 clones.

another note:
Play the Jedi Academy game, put the mod that replaces everything with jedi. Crank up the difficulty to full. Then enable the one hit one kill code with the lightsaber. You will have a good time. Closest I have seen to being a jedi. Frustrating but fun.

Nah man actually it's pretty much the opposite.

Disney will be shelling the company and using it now ONLY to produce the movie licensed garbagegames for the new star wars films.

Hasbinbad

You never know.

People died a lot in the new Oz and Snow White movies.

The Pixar execs are now big wigs in Disney proper; I know a lot of those guys, and I believe they will make Disney better over time.
