It's not about proving that a rock is not a rock, but rather about understanding the symbolic meaning behind Jesus' words in the context of the passage and the broader theological interpretations.

It is like some people may perceive the multitude of interpretations as evidence that the bible's message is subjective or open to anyone's personal interpretation, leading to a sense of relativism or skepticism about its authority.

*gasp* Who would be skeptical about a religion rooted in similar stories in similar religions of that time?!

[You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] Or for Kid Rock who harps on an issue he felt passionate about only to forfeit that movement for a pile of cash making his followers feel used and abandoned.

But hey, at least used and brainwashed still means used and brainwashed. Right Patriam1066! [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

1. Stop talking like ChatGPT, you're not that guy.
2. Some interpretations are just incorrect. Christ does direct Peter to build his church.

I understand that interpretations can vary, and some may firmly believe that Christ directed Peter to build his church based on that particular biblical text.

But, acknowledging that many interpretations of religious texts have been over analyzed and rewritten to an individual's beliefs shows inconsistencies with the religion.

Is it "You are Peter (Petros), and on this rock (petra) I will build my church?" [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Generally speaking the copycat religion is taken to serious by fanatics. Even changing the way they speak. LoL - G_d butt [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

dude is being fanatical about their interpretation of scripture church should be big enough to house multiple interpretations just like the country is big enough to hold multiple states

the original post about this up in the OP was that the media and different sources tell u to be 'scared of liminal spaces' and what they mean not to form ur own interpretation or do ur own research

the one guy who did research dead ended in 2016 because the internet is our modern times burning of the great library of alexandria

just stop letting other ppl tell u what to think and maybe stop trying to tell other ppl what to think so much
