I'm positive wolf form made you KOS in Halas.

Also boosts faction with Freeport Militia, as it was often used to make Ikky monks able to go turn in Orc belts

^definitely true.

Also, wolf form definitely made you kos to the gnome pirates in Iceclad. I still have nightmares about that "quick run to pick up some tink boxes before camping".

I didn't go the wolf form route and was able to do what I needed to do without all the faction work. Thank God... but I heard from several people that wolf form is still KOS in Halas.

Thats classical

I always found it funny, that the barb faction "Wolves of the North" didn't like you in wolf form. Many a druid has lost their life in Everfrost while killing Mammoth's when they forgot to take off wolfform near a guard

It wasn't until PoP (or later) that they removed the KOS for wolfform in FV. [edit: iirc anyway. there should be mention of this in the patchnote when it happened.]

Unrest mobs were all non-KOS to wolfform, druids dragged a lot of corpses in Unrest.

Would like to see this fixed in Mistmoore - it looks like it bumps faction a tiny bit (scowling to threatening) but you used to get up to dubious (or indifferent possibly), similar to Unrest in this zone with wolf form. I could tell some stories but I'll spare you the tales of my druid's glory days as you guys seem to require actual evidence. [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Also, regarding the Maid room (I think butler only had 2 spawns) but I was in there yesterday and the maid room had 3 NPCs in it - this is not classic. See this post from 2000 for specifics about this: http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/z...96955668617082

Yes, it's a trivial issue but it makes the room easier to camp and is classic.

Here's a post (1st one 2nd page) for Unrest - I can't find one yet for mistmoore but it was the same concept: http://thedruidsgrove.org/archive/eq/t-2049-p-2.html

Yea it's from 2003 but apparently there is a patch that happened later on which removed the faction changes that wolf form gave.

Default April 2000 - Wolf Form faction changed

Is this known?

Wolf Form is KOS to Druids in Fironia Vie
The city governments have been enacting leash laws lately to try and curb the number of strays running wild through the cities. Wolves that aren't on leashes (e.g. a pet) will be attacked and killed on site by many of the guards.

ThatÂ’s an RP reason anyway and I thought some might get a kick out of it [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

OOC:

Most NPCs were viewing a druid in wolf-form as a BetaNeutral NPC, instead of as a wolf. This was fixed a few weeks ago in many of the cities, and should have been in the patch message.

Not only was it not in a patch message (unless it went up today), it's a
bad nerf. I know that they're fixing something that they left
broken--but after over a year in the game, it's a part of gameplay.
"Fixing" it is not fixing it in this case.
