Default 52 Shaman solo CoM moat?

Lvl 52 non-epic’d Shaman looking to solo CoM moat if possible. From what I can tell so far Shaman would be very challenging for crawling and splitting moat, at least until you get epic. Some ideas are trying to float down to the safe spot from the ramparts or maybe just fight my way in by rooting a couple mobs, burning another mob down and Gating to EJ zoneline to clear aggro.

Ivu potion? Or maybe ask in ooc if need stacked.

Why not just clear in? Done smartly it's all dual pulls. Use levitate laddering to get on the partition and you can split everything to give space for cast times. Is 52 too low? Probably fewer root resists than oozes and none of the shit-eaters from temple to deal with. If there is a swarm kiter you will want to camp to the side anyhow. Might as well be hurricane proof.

Try to get epic, farm the mq pp if you have to, I would assume it's fairly cheap nowadays. It's probably the best leveling weapon in the game, and you can handle stuff like moat np.

I don't know for shamans but moat starts getting slow around 52, mobs are pretty close to greening out if not already as they are 36-40 IIRC. That and the switchback corners could be a bitch to pull. 52 would probably be better on 2nd floor but it might be a pain to get there and break it without lulls.

At 52 if you still want to solo dungeon, KC or maybe even HS would be more level appropriate? I'm sure there are better outdoors spots also.

I just checked the leveling wiki and it says 51-56 "good for shm" in hs basement/ent. If you can pull that off you'll see the exp is insane at 52.

Yea you hit the nail on the head. I was able to break into the moat by rooting a mob, burning another one down, spamming all dots on him and jbb. Then reroot and camp the Aggro. Best way I have found to split as a shaman. About half of the mobs were green yea so I decided to try second floor. I couldn’t float across to the flag from the temple and jump up. Ogre too large and I didn’t have any shrink pots for the outdoors. Anyways I moved on to dwarf guards in kaladim and butcher. Also got epic faction. Just need to get my tear and do the last fight

For my Ogre I found a different way up to the ramparts. You can levitate to the top of the iksar statue that is in front of the entrance gate, right after the entrance bridge. You can then float to the top of the door structure to the left of the statue when facing the wall behind the statue. The top of the door structure has a triangular shape in the middle if I recall corrctly. Remove levitate. If you stand on the triagular shape , run towards the roof, and jump at just the right time, you can get on the roof. Then you can float to the rampart.

I may be wrong, but I think only Ogres can do this due to their height being tall enough to make the jump.

I'll try it next time because the classic route is a bit of a pather highway of both live and dead mobs and you gotta clear/lull the 2 golems below if you go with IVU. Bit of a hassle.

But honestly, I don't find the rampart worth it, too many pathers, too much work to break in and when you do you have to stay on top of your game for the entire trip. Everyone I've seen try it I've also seen bite the dust and I've even seen groups wipe. I'm sure people can make it work but it looks like too much of a hassle for what it is worth when there are better options out there.

i disagree, but only because ive levelled 3 shaman on the ramparts in CoM. theres only 2 pathers you have to kill every 22 mins in order to be 100% safe. the little ledge that overhangs the courtyard/temple area has 2 pathers. kill those and youre safe. then pull everything to there to kill it.

massively helped if you have a JBB, but with Turgurs and root for adds it should be fine to manage.

If you were very selective with your pulls, rooting and gating could probably be implemented. I suppose the ramparts idea looks reasonable, though you much will have to watch out for adds. Perhaps it is worth a shot or two to see how well used they are in the best way possible It’s a good class for AE but the rhythm might need some testing out in order to find the safest pattern.

The dwarf guards are a really good spot til 54,even 55. Good loot if you bother to make the run out to the druid ring.
