Default Freezing and Felwithe

I'd say that in general I have a pretty stable version of the game. Sometmes (rarely) I'll freeze when turning too rapidly and occasionally the game crashes on startup, but otherwise I have few problems.

Except for Felwithe. Specifically the outer archway before you zone in. I'd say I freeze there maybe 30-40% of the time.

If I move very slowly, move a little bit, stop, move a little bit, etc. I don't seem to freeze, but sometimes I'm in a hurry so that's not an ideal remedy.

Any ideas on what could be causing this? Thanks.

Yes I use an NVidia 3060. I'll look into dgvoodoo, thanks! Did you have to fiddle much with the config or just use the default one that comes with it?

Thanks for the reply.

after you copy and paste x86 directx file into your eq folder, run eq and you will see dgvoodoo watermark for the first time and then do the following steps

right click dgvoodoo and run admin mode

under directx tab

i pick Geforce 9800GT and 1024 MB VRAM
uncheck dgvoodoo watermark

hit apply and run dgvoodoo again to make sure all settings are modified into its ini file.

you are expecting to get slidely lower performace like 10 % FPS drop, but you are still getting 100 + FPS

One thing that has also helped me so far is in eqclient.ini make sure the resolutions for windowed width and height match the resolution lines below that.
