Normally I would say as soon as you have to resort to challenging the other person to a fight you already lost the argument, but I’m still not completely against the concept

It seems like a Andrew Tate type phenomenon. The first thing Tate does when he gets in an argument is challenge to other guy to a fight. Right off the bat. Since Tate is an actual fighter, basically everyone will back down at that moment because they'd get beaten by Tate. Then Tate will attack them as unworthy. This appears to have gotten into the head of many folks super quickly.

It's a 'tough guy' Alpha way of interacting with the world. Not collaborative at all. Sadly just another one of the polarizing forces out there lately. There don't appear to many folks that are trying to hold back the brink if things get out of hand in a hyperpolarized manner. It has happened in other countries and USA is not immune from our fracturing politcal mileu catching up to us.

We don't have any top dogs (Biden, Trump, or RFK Jr) acting in any kind of collaborative way. In a three way race even if RFK doesn't win this changes the math in dramatic ways.

Yea it also took off when streamers or other online personalities started challenging each other to boxing matches

Despite all the PED’s, training in secret for months, and other ways that it becomes completely unfair, I still found the concept somewhat entertaining

But yea a person who fights for a living challenging some non-fighter to a fight is only going to be impressing the dumbest dregs of society
