Okay I'm racist. Hati isn't Somalia.

Now hatis problem is a lack of strong local government and a dependence on gasoline and petroleum.

That guy with all the booze out in the middle of the air had great protection tho just to leave so much alcohol out.

That is easily sorted out by having public transportation and strong local authorities. And kicking out the petroleum and having cars and trucks become a public resource. It's not ideal. Butt they are on a damn island and will always get completely fucked by the rest of the world and whoever runs the whole island is always going to be a puppet until they have real global power some how. You can't get there without going full on authoritarian military first. Not sure those people have the strong martial culture to swing that way first tho.

Other than the fact that they absolutely hate white ppl with really good reason. Aka racist. They seem to be really nice folks in general on that island. They just tired of the bullshit and do not need a western military intervention or the UN to or CIA to make shit much worse.

P.s. I just got done watching the video so I felt I owed u a real genuine hot take.

We could go in there and fix it. Butt ppl like hunter Biden will all live in the brand new super green solar powered mcmansions after the genocide. Maybe hunters tube baby clone decendents. Cuz his sperm are like all deep fried.

Haiti has been deep in debt to the French since their independence back around Napoleonic times, and has been making payments that comprise a large portion of their GDP for hundreds of years. Which imo explains why they can't get their shit together as well as Dominican Republic at least. Super corrupt and a one dimensional economy (coffee) for most of history.

The condition of their independence and recognition was that they had to reimburse France for the value of their property, which included themselves as they were slaves lol. Super fucked up thing to still be paying for.

Crazy. When UK abolished slavery in its territories circa 200 years ago they did it by purchasing the freedom of the enslaved people from their ‘owners’. It cost about six billion pounds in today’s money. The loan to do so was so huge it only finished repayment in my life time (so my taxes went toward buying people’s freedom 200 years ago - yw if that was your ancestor’s sitch).

Pretty messed up that the process massively enriched the already wealthy (through paying off the owners and interest on the loan). Glad our pals and their descendants across the world got to be ‘free’, even if it enriched a bunch of old money tho.

Shame on Fr*nce for making slaves and their descendants pay for their own freedom. Sounds a lot like indentured servitude in itself imo.
