yeah druid is awesome 1st choice for a newb, thou fuck being stuck in the woods all the time, even with protection from cold
enchanters are rapey hands down most evil selfish spell ever is charm clerics have a chance at least to bring honor to their tribe, and can hobnob with those who broker in civilization after cleric, i think necromancer is my 2cnd choice shamans are up there too, but suffer the same fate as druid, not reallying having any cool temples to hang out in and party

Druid, Wiz, or Rogue.
With actual power you better be prepared to escape from the powers that be. I don't think gate would be enough because they'd figure out your bind point eventually.

Weellll, I've actually thought abut this the last few months. Woodelph ranger. But I want gate and be able to learn other spells that I find as loot or can purchase from trainers.
If it was a litRPG type situation as in the stories that you can read, That's what I would roll.

I think Druid has some of the coolest abilities that translate into real life, like teleport, healing, animal charm, sow and camouflage. But not being able to charm people, or raise people from the dead is a real Debby downer.
Bard would actually be pretty amazing. You can charm, slow heal, speed run, fly, invis, breath underwater, etc. Still no ports or Rez is a downer.
