It's a totally different mechanic and works the same for all charm classes. When you charm a mob it wipes his memory. When the charm breaks the Bard has a single point of threat, but that's it - no additional threat nor any of the damage dealt by/to that pet is remembered.

Bard charming is usually done by swapping back and forth between two mobs, using this mechanic. IE:

Charm pet 1
Dot up pet 2
On break of pet 1 (which has only one point of aggro on bard), charm pet 2
Dot up pet 1

If a bard has to keep the same pet for some reason (ie trying to kill a named that he cannot charm), then the bard has to either kite the named, not use dots/slows on the named, or use his threat drop song to remove his threat
Yeah, so when the mage pet dies the mage has all of the aggro the pet had. So you have mages who are forced to use an earth pet because chaining a pet doesn't work when the new pet has to out aggro or get a lucky taunt. It's a broken mechanic.

As a master Bard, when I enter a zone to swarm I expect the rest of the plebs in the zone to vacate or face death
