I honestly didn't even know bards did this in velks, that's totally insane. I knew about CoM and that was bad enough.

They always say the same thing too when they get you\your group killed: "Hey sorry BUD, hold on I'll get my cleric and rez you for free!" like you won the lottery or something.

You didn't answer my question.

The entrance is prone to getting swarmed from wonky pathing and frenzy trying to escape.

When that happens, I don't think I'm an arsehole for snare kiting the train to save my group.

Also, I've been in some AoE groups. What is acceptable and what isn't?

Genuinely asking as a bard who doesn't want to disrupt dungeons.

I think people are more upset about bards doing things that have high chance of getting uninvolved folks killed, and solo-monopolizing an area that commonly has groups; if you're in the entrance group you're not disrupting the entrance group. Take my opinion with a grain of salt though, I have a bard.

Well, thanks for the reassurance.

Yeah I don't think what you're describing would be a dick move. I thought people were saying bards are swarming velks the same way they swarm the upper floors of CoM.

To paraphrase some senator or judge or something: bards being dicks is like pornography; I can't define it, but I know it when I see it.

And yeah to respond to what somebody else said, in a zone like DL you can root their mobs to troll them and get them killed, but that just leads to the same issue of all those mobs pathing back through the zone and jumping people.

I always enjoy bards kiting in Velks as they are usually super friendly and happy to hand out invites. Gives a great opportunity to whip out Earthcaller or some Word of Whatevers.

Evasive warriors make decent pullers for these groups as they can tank many spiders at once while you establish kite.

The kite doesn't seem to go to the usual frenzied camp spot, not even when warping, unless other people try to interfere with it.

No one is going to fault you for using AOE spells to SAVE people from trains caused by wonky pathing. You know that as well as I do. It's obvious that what people, including myself, are tired of, is not the same as what you're talking about.

Paranoia on my part then, I guess.
