I don't understand what this comment is supposed to mean. Snared mobs still flee. With a good snare they might not be able to move, but they'll turn and try to. With a weaker snare they even move slowly. It's not like root which cancels out flee mode entirely for the duration.

I think it's mostly because nerds in particular are extremely petty and a tremendous amount of their personality revolves on being more "correct" than other nerds about whatever they're nerds about. It's extremely prevalent in pretty much every nerdy hobby.
