I meant to other protein sources. Plants are bad at that.

Depends what you mean, but for resource usage no, plants are the best, you just need a few different sources

In any case, bugs wouldn’t be a solution to any realistic problem faced on earth. Unless we’ve found ourselves unable to sustain hens who lay eggs
