Depends on how you view cryptocurrencies? If you see it as a currency/mode of payment then FED now might make it obsolete. Sure the tech won't be anywhere close to cutting edge but the sheer power they wield would make adoption a cake walk.

Many folks who matter view all these as digital assets/properties and if that's the viewpoint one takes FEDNow doesn't really matter at all. All big players like BlackRock views it as a digital asset so most probably this is the view point that's gonna take shape down the lane in terms of regulations and stuff.

Regardless, It's here to stay and that's a triumph in itself against unimaginable odds.
