Star Trek has always been “woke” since after the original series

So like, it’s doing it’s thing

Picardy little hug and talk at the end of season 2 was heartwarming and great.

Can't spoiler it any further. Tho.

Yeah they did goofy silly ass trek shit to get there.

I was forced into watching it. I am glad tho. It was good times. And I was allowed to take breaks i didn't have to sit straight thru every episode.

theres a huge dfferene between woke, and what startrek was.

Woke is cooperate pandering to the establishment bullshit and ignoring real issues and being a boggot against things you dont like.. thats what "woke" is.

Dont give me that startrek was always woke

woke is a joke

startrek was about real shit that mattered.

Not being nihilist little bitch like the "woke" establishment is about everything.

Men wearing skirts is one thing, picard and all the new startrek is a whole different kind of stupid dog shit.

Yeah.

There are still moments tho.

Picard is like trek flavored x men from space.

A big part of it is desperation to catch the attention of the zoomers. And young men being gobbled up by the 5 eyes b4 its too late to save their souls. It's self defeating and ineffectual tho.

They'd be better off rebooting next generation with a hard mandate for very low violence and the Federation is actually good and not inept again.

Even one of the Picard episodes commented on itself during one of the major action sequences towards the audience... this is all you want or pay attention to..to that effect. It was subtext. There for sure tho for the intelligent and mindfully diligent.

orville is what i'd also do if i had seth mcfarlane's money and the cbs / paramount jerks wouldn't let me use star trek franchise material to make a new show in the universe without any direct attachment to the official recycled characters.

it's a bit hamfisted, like star trek, and it's got good and bad episodes, like star trek.

the planet of the chuds giving humans shit for allowing abortions while pontificating about values was ehhh. even battlestar galactica had a lighter touch

I really liked the one where they went to the ship that was like, on auto pilot, with all the religious people on it. That one like really felt like startrek to me.

And I lterally love they made those space vampries as the klingon/romulans there was an episode where they were sneaking around on their ship and I felt like any minuet it would suck, but they just kept getting it right and I ended up really liking that storyline.

Also when the robot sawed off that guys leg that was hilarious [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
