Maybe saying because we spend a lot spending 3 times what we used to on one thing is trivial is part of the reason we are where we are in the first place

If it's the same % of revenue I see no problem with it.

You should find a better avenue to broach the subject of mandatory spending than these small (free) potatoes.

I dunno, all I know is it’s three times what it was and this is billions. There’s been a lot of promises made on much smaller amounts

If we just spend more on this problem it will go away seems to fail for a lot of government functions. Most of these programs were meant to be temporary for its users
