It served it's purpose. Probably would have better to say thread was done rather than dumb. That would have been more tactful.

150,000 views in less than 120 days. That thread was anything but dumb.

It becomes dumb/done as soon as they disagree with the opinions of the posts. Youve been around long enough to figure that out by now.

I see a difference between using the word done or dumb in a player facing situation involving a former contributor and possible future collaborator. Again tactfulness of the message was what I highlighted. The ruling on it wasn't mine to make and no issue on my end about it. Not my first rodeo.

Overall that PQ thread was a massive success. By any metric there wasn't anything dumb about it. I was merely pointing out the math which was positive.

Right. And what I'm saying is that they agreed with you that it was a good thread while the PR surrounding the project was positive. As soon as it started shifting from that it was no longer beneficial to them and so therefore "dumb" and could not be allowed to continue.

We're on the same page. No issue with the determination to end the thread. However the messaging was worth calling out. Tactfulness pays dividends. Typically it is a good thing to consider in situations like that. As someone who participated in that thread quite a bit, I am very happy with it overall despite it being closed.

Totally agree. I thought it was a great thread promoting a project similar to p99 and worthy of it's own thread for discussion. It looks like the mods don't agree and any and all discussion regarding Quarm is to be directed to their personal discord page. Alas, all good things must come to an end.
