John Smedley is stepping down from Amazon Games Studios

John Smedley, who has three decades of experience in the industry and ran the Amazon Game Studios office in San Diego for six years, told staff Wednesday that he’s stepping aside. Smedley joined Amazon in 2017 and has worked on various projects, none of which have been released.

“After a lot of thought, I’ve decided it’s time for me to try my hand at something new,” Smedley said in an email to staff that was reviewed by Bloomberg.

I'll admit tho Amazon is a great scam. Both studios.

Patrick deserved better tho. Seems he worked for it.

imagine even still trying to ship that game. idc if its good. ain't playing it. Chris P is a good DM idk dick about how that translates into a good mmo or not and the EQ coder guy, clover? nice 2 good names and literal years of vaporware status, just take all the good shit and rename it something else and actually announce, have a beta, and ship the fucking thing.
