It’s funny whenever one of these games thinks their game is somehow special in its level of toxicity

Reminds me of how Hearthstone, I believe to this day, still doesn’t allow typed chat messages during matches. The only way to chat in HS is to accept a friend request from the person after the match

Mid-match, all you can use to communicate are emotes. This doesn’t stop most people from spamming “hello” or “wow!” emotes after your every move, and sometimes every second during your turn. When I was playing, it was to the point where most players would click off emotes completely at the very start of every match

This left opponents only method to grief you was “roping”. This is where you wait for the very last second of every turn to end your turn, causing a rope signifying your remaining time to burn down to nothing. Generally when someone took the full time to play 1 card on turn 1, you knew they hated your class/deck and intended to rope you, turning what could have been a 10 minute match into a 40 minute match

HS was in continual denial about the trolling, and continually refused to allow turning off emotes as a menu choice

The dumb thing that some people did was rope back. Like with the mentality of “oh so you want to turn this 10 minute match into a 40 minute? Well I’m going to turn it into an hour!” And of course spam emotes at each other

The more I hear them saying, "YOU are the threat to democracy."

It's getting to the point where anyone who questions the goverment at all, is at threat to democracy.
