Default Possible bug - pet haste/enchanter haste

Last night I was grouped with an enchanter and mage in oasis. (this is a low level group, enchanter just got haste at 16, and mage wasn't much higher).

Talking with the mage he said his pet showed both burnout and enchanter haste on simultaneously.

1) I didn't see it of course.

2) I just didn't think it was supposed to work that way, I thought they took the same buff slot. But maybe it is supposed to work that way.

It should work like that. Regular spell haste (enchanter, shaman, classic bard, etc) is slot 1. Burnout haste is slot 4. That means they don't block each other, so a mage pet can have the superior enchanter haste without losing the other burnout buffs.

On the other hand, they are both the same type of haste (spell haste (Haste v1)), so the haste amounts won't stack. Only the highest haste buff will take effect.

Yeah, you could stack the 70% Wonderous Rapidity with Burnout on a pet. But not something like SoTS or Augment

I was the mage in that group [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.] Now the question is whether or not quickness provides more haste than burnout does.

Some of the spells are slightly different in current EQ, but aside from levels, there are very few differences.

yes, you only benefit from the best haste though.

Apparently the burnout line is like augmentation from enchanters (guess they are same buff slot, but I'm not going to lucy) in that you get haste and some other stats. The haste from augment is not as much as from the pure haste line that enchanters and shamans get though.

Basically if you stack burnout and quickness, you get the ac and strength (? on a pet, does that do anything?) from burnout, and the better haste percentage from quickness.

I didn't think it worked that way, but I was wrong.
