Shaman Specialization
Can anyone shed some light on choosing a specialization for Shaman? I did a search and didn't really come up with anything helpful. Thanks

That page has some discussion. Pretty sure I went with alteration for mine - or if I didn't, then I sure should have. I spend a lot of mana in groups on regen, haste, and various buffs that largely rely on alteration, plus slows that rely on alteration. Solo, I spend a fair bit of mana on conjuration for DoTs, but alteration is still a pretty big factor.

Conjuration for solo'ing, alteration for grouping is the cliff notes version of this discussion.
Epic makes a difference obviously, but in general the above holds true.

If you're trying to let it happen naturally (I.e not dumping practice points into it or intentionally spamming a certain spell) you will likely go Alteration due to Canni. Something to consider if you decide you're going conjuration. You'd best be summoning food or water if that's the case!!

Alteration, hands down.
