eqgame.exe disappeared

So I'm rolling along at lvl 4, giving those fire beetles hell, and I decide to take a break and restart my computer. It says that there's a problem starting windows and it wants a rollback. I fix it and my eqgame.exe and shortcut are gone! Everything else is in tact. WTF? [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

I'd guess it had something to do with the fact that your operating system had a problem starting, and needed to rollback. This points to a hardware or software issue of some sort. Could be a virus, could be a hard drive going bad, could just be a corrupt swap file.

Doing a virus scan now and I'm clear so far. I reloaded the game and tried to implement the Velious UI - now my world is gone. I'm standing in a gray square LOL!
