Well if I can get to an ice bath after the half-m in Jan I’m down to try. But it’s your fault if I go into shock because I’m a little bitch when it comes to cold [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]
everyone starts a little bitch. you will build the fortitude to relax in the cold. i use my pool during the winter. i think about it all summer.

mental weights. the muscle you exercise, perhaps, when you are about to die on a run and realize you aren't even halfway through, and you have to decide if are gonna be a man or a mouse.

standing on a 60ft cliff, building the courage to jump. that "muscle"

facing that challenge every day. can't argue that wouldn't make you stronger.

thats on top of any physiological effects it might/might not have. cold therapy has been used in mental health practice for a long time. the problem is it is very temporary. the elated feeling.

again mental health srry...as to performance, i heard if you are lifting to gain muscle, it will retard gains.

One of my favorite youtubers is an actual doctor. Here's his take on ice baths:
find a less cocksure youtuber.

But what he doesn't say here is how strength = cardio gains

To some degree it can by developing things like stability muscles. But strength usually = size....and more tissue, whether that's fat or muscle, requires more oxygen

Considering he one time placed top 10% in a marathon, but while talking about cardio and walking at about a 4mph pace was now out of breath, I wonder how much his cardio performance suffered by putting on 100+ lbs of mostly muscle but fat as well from his marathon days

Either way, more good info from Mitchell

Laid low by Depression due to postpartum hormone imbalance + body dysmorphia over your newly-destroyed stomach which doesn’t seem to be able to bounce back, especially when your body is your financial moneymaker

But Annie Thorisdottir is a Viking, it’s right there in her name: “Thor’s Daughter”. Not the type to stay down and cry

Speaking of Icelandic giants, FB showed me this. The Mountain with “normal” people vs with his family:

Smoking cannabis, like smoking anything, is objectively unhealthy

if you are too cheap for the volcano, i recently started vaping flower through a dynavap M plus. have to play with it to get it to behave as you wish. they use them at many herb shows/contests to grade flavor.

I’ve only used edibles for so long, I think I wouldn’t even remember how to use a bong or vape (kiddin, I could figure it out). But yea it’s been years of only edibles

Interestingly enough I did find an electronic weed vape laying on the ground on my jogging route at the park 2 days ago. Was wondering why there was a blue light on the ground. I picked it up and placed it on a visible concrete ledge in case the owner tried to retrace their steps for it

Back in the day those used to be expensive, probably cheap as hell nowadays tho
