Drove 6 hours today up into the desolate north of Iceland. Shit feels like Mars up here, except it’s cold, rainy, and windy as fuck. Rewarded ourselves with some fresh local Icelandic lamb. Bomb!
hey are you near that volcano that just went off?

Thatd be a cool tourist treck, I think it just stopped??? It was going real strong all the last couple weeks.

Yeah that’s one of the sore spots for this trip. That mother mother stopped literally the day we were set to see it. Pretty butt hurt about it, but that’s nature for ya.

The last time it did this it went off for months, so we got a little penisy with our planning. But as they say in Japan, shoganai (means it cannot be helped), so lesson learned for next time!

Watched the fellowship of the ring with some of my grandkids who are visiting. They hadn’t seen it before

Nah, just the regular one. Watched the Two towers today

I’m glad they liked it. It was fun explaining why the ents didn’t like metal and wheels and why the hobbits of the shire were less corruptible than men

They’re young so I doubt they understand, but I’m gonna buy them the books for Christmas

The part that hit me emotionally was the “last march of the ents” scene. I was hoping for glorious self-sacrifice for the ultimate good, but they won the fight handily [You must be logged in to view images. Log in or Register.]

Logged in for the first time in about a year over the weekend

Made about 300pp grinding goblins, only about 10k more to go to get my lev 55 spell. I remember now how boring grinding mobs can be, but staring at a wall for hours camping items is even more boring

Glad I remembered how to play after a while tho
