Default eqlog.txt?

When I type /log on I get the message that the log is started, but there is no log file. I tried manually creating a log file to see if it would put data in it, no go. Is this disabled on P99? Doesn't seem like it would be since on the files page there is a parser, also my audio triggers don't work, P99 or my stupidity? (or maybe I'm glitched somehow..)

Well thanks in advance!

Logs are kept in the Log folder. They'll be named:

eqlog_[character name]_[server].txt

If you don't have any, that meants you need to:
1. set UAC or
2. run P99 As Admininistrator or
3. move P99 to a folder not in Program Files.

It was in the program folders (x86), moved it to a newly created folder root directory of the drive, fixed the problem. Also possibly unrelated the animations are smoother now. Thank you very much!

Anytime EQ is put into program files windows act funny with it because it cant write to the folder properly. Things like logs and screenshots get all screwed up because of it and its why its recommended to not install Eq to program files folder.

I've started a wiki article to go over log troubleshooting and resources (feel free to contribute):

Default eqlog.txt used to exist

I took the file path from the logfile help page and there was a switch in there, but now since I've changed the service pack to stop crashes on character swap it seems to have disappeared.
