Hah we must have grown up in the same era, I actually remember playing Pong as a child.

I remember my commodore 63 - 30+ games per floppy, 100's of floppy's - I didn't own a home console system til Super Nintendo was on it's way out and I bought it dirt cheap to play FF games. My buddies had the Colecovision - Smurfs FTW!

I'd have to say that the PSX would be up there as one of favorites though - so many hours spent with roommates and friends over playing Tekken, Soulblade and Toshinden, the Resident Evil games, Twisted Metal, the FF series and so much more. I still have a PSX emulator on my PC and recently downloaded one on to my Nexus 7.

I'll just list my favorite non-PC games and let you do the brain work to figure out what console they go to (Seems more relevant than just listing hardware. Most hardware had good and bad games.):

Bioshock
Castlevania 2: Simon's Quest
Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas
Final Fantasy VI
Final Fantasy VII
Final Fantasy VIII
Final Fight
F-Zero
Goldeneye
Grand Theft Auto 3
Grand Theft Auto 4
Legend of Dragoon
Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Megaman X
Morrowind
Pokemon Blue and Red
Simpsons Arcade Game
Skyrim
Sonic Adventure
Street Fighter 2: The World Warrior
Strider
Sunset Riders
Super Mario 64
Super Mario Kart
Super Mario World
Super Metroid
Super Punch Out
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time
Tekken 2
X-Men Arcade Game

PC Games that would have made the cut if this wasn't just console games:
Counter Strike 1.6
Dark Forces 2
Diablo 2
Half-Life 2
Legend of Kyrandia: Book One
Sim City 2000
Warcraft 2
Warcraft 3

I'm with you guys. Atari 2600 for many years... then a C64 (C128 in C64 mode when the first burnt out). Sooooooo many floppies.... I still have that Commodore stuff stored away in my basement and still considering converting some of the programs/games I wrote to be used by an emulator. Think I have my first modem (300 baud) around too.
