Lightbulb Insanity

Definition of insanity: doing the same thing over and over, expecting different results.

Anyone other then the top few ever feel this way here?

"This process of guiding an individual to perform more and more elaborate and complex tasks is known as shaping in Operant Conditioning. It is usually explained in textbooks in conjunction with Skinner Boxes. Skinner boxes are small glass or plexi-glass boxes equipped with a combination of levers, food pellets, and drinking tubes. Laboratory rats are placed into Skinner boxes and conditioned to perform elaborate tasks. At first, the rat is rewarded with a food pellet for facing the lever. Then it is rewarded if it gets closer to the lever. Eventually, the rat is shaped to press the lever. Once the rat learns that pressing the lever is rewarded, a food pellet does not need to be dropped every time and the rat will still continue pressing the lever. It is in the same way that EverQuest shapes players to pursue more and more elaborate blacksmithing or tailoring combinations. Moreover, EverQuest players continue to attempt elaborate combinations in the face of many costly failures." (http://www.nickyee.com/eqt/skinner.html)

That is not the definition of insanity. It came from Alcoholics anonymous who said "one possible definition of insanity is..."

It would be like saying "the definition of fear is being stuck in traffic after having a bran muffin and 3 cups of coffee for breakfast"

I deliberately do the same thing expecting the same results. This is my routine. Disrupt it at your own peril.

Yeah that is not at all the definition of insanity lol.

One other "possible" definition is when you're still kos to the sarnaks outside chardok, yet dubious inside and according to the wiki they're all on the same faction. This will drive one insane, after playing the game for 20 years and still not understanding how it works.

Not sure this is correct.

Wiki says droga gobbins only give Dizok faction (https://wiki.project1999.com/A_goblin_slinker)
